Right-wing Christians are rarely angry over anything that could have a positive influence on the world. No, far too many of them are busy worrying about which bathroom transgender people use, and how to prevent their children from learning about anything meaningful, like Critical Race Theory. Oh, and let’s not forget many are all up in it over drag queens reading to kids during story hour at the library and how they can control every inch of a woman’s body.

Now they’ve got a new dog in this fight, according to Newsweek.

Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer released its “Real Women of America 2024 Calendar” earlier this month and with the way some conservatives are acting you’d think they released the Kraken instead. This is a limited-edition pin-up calendar that is supposed to be in “celebration of conservative women who are fighting woke [extremists] to preserve real women.” The calendar features prominent well-known conservatives, including swimmer Riley Gaines, radio host Dana Loesch, former House candidate Kim Klacik, and writer Ashley St. Clair, to name a few.

Considering the fact that they have to spend all that time attacking people in the LGBTQ+ community you’d think they would be too busy to concern themselves with something as piddling as a calendar. But nope, that’s not how extremist Christians roll.

The beer calendar has them all in knots and some are calling the calendar “demonic” for sexualizing women (even some married women). Others are also upset because it lacks images of women with children, and some are also big mad because it’s being marketed to conservative dads.

“A conservative beer calendar sexualizing women in our movement and marketing it towards married conservative men is demonic,” fumed Christian activist morgan ariel in a post on X.

Ariel has a point with the last part of the post. Women ought to be celebrated in all walks of life, but then she turns around and gets it wrong. The women in this calendar aren’t being devalued. Women in need of abortions, women who have poor healthcare for themselves and their children, homeless women, and elderly women barely eking out a living on Social Security — those are the ones who are being devalued.

But real compassion is lost on these people.

Bryson Gray, who’s a conservative Christian rapper also said the calendar was “demonic,” and called the images “pseudo-soft porn” and accused Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer used Christian imagery to encourage men to lust after the featured women.

Because remember: Lust bad, procreation good.

“i just don’t see the value in marketing what’s basically, in some photos, soft porn to married (or unmarried) men,” conservative commentator allie beth stuckey posted on x. “of course these women are gorgeous, and of course, i’m all for celebrating true femininity in an age that can’t define ‘woman.’ in my view, this doesn’t accomplish that at all.”

Others vented their collective spleens because the calendar didn’t feature images of mothers or women with their kids and said images like this would better represent what conservative women look like.

“real conservative women would be too busy taking care of their homes & families to pose for a calendar,” wrote one Christian on X.

Even though those complaining about the calendar are of the nutball variety, some do have a point. We are worth more than the sum of our parts, bikini-clad or otherwise and it would be nice to see more calendars featuring us for the everyday things we do. But there were still more who continued harping on the “soft core” angle of the calendars.

All that conservative kvetching has brought out a response from Seth Weathers, the CEO of Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer. He’s dubbed the reaction to the calendar “#CalendarGate” and defended the photos on social media. No fool he, he called it “great news” that conservatives are riled by the calendar because it increases sales. And 10 percent of those sales will be donated to the Riley Gaines Center and its advocacy work against trans athletes in women’s sports.

So all of the conservative Christians who are all out of sorts should be happy! The proceeds are being used to hurt trans people again.

  1. The only thing the calendar lacked was Ar-15s placed in strategic places. To call these evil morons Christians is a lie in itself as they follow NONE of Christ’s teachings or commandments. Of course that moniker was created by the barbaric Romans. The early disciples were known as believers!

  2. Maybe the scariest thing I’ve heard this year:

“Bryson Gray, who’s a conservative Christian rapper”

I’m pretty sure Eric Cartman could do better than Bryson Gray.

  3. Wing nuts live in high alt. It doesn’t take much for them to assemble with torches and pitchforks.
I would find this hilarious if it didn’t c bring out exactly what they value women for. We are uteri on feet. Our worth is measured by how many brats,we can push out. By their measure,,Michelle Duggar,,who coveted up her oldest son’s paedophilia, is worth more than Michelle Obama or Amal.Clooney, staunch fighters for human rights and basic decency.
