I don’t know what Donald Trump has been paying Devin Nunes to run Truth Social. The numbers Trump bandies about and the amount of money he actually parts with are two very different figures. In any event, whether it was 10’s of thousands or 100’s of thousands, or just plain thousands, that income stream is going to dry up very quickly for Devin. Truth Social is down on one knee and ready to lie down altogether, like a sick cow. No offense.

I thought that Nunes represented the bottom of the Republican barrel. Silly me. That was before Marge Greene and Bobo were elected and opened my eyes. Nunes is elder statesman material by comparison.
The House will have to go to all-secret ballots if Devin’s in there as Speaker. He’ll sue anyone who doesn’t vote or mooooove the way he wants them to go.
Last time I heard any news story about Devin it was in relation to DWAC giving the investors back their money. Devin said this was a good thing. Newsweek:
Devin Nunes, the CEO of TMTG, said that the announcement is an “important step” towards eliminating the PIPE,which TMTG believes would be “in the best interest of TMTG’s equity holders and completing our merger with DWAC as soon as possible.”
PIPE is private investment in public equity and private money is desperately needed to keep Truth Social afloat. But Devin has some opinion on this transaction that is incomprehensible to normal folks who know how public offerings work. He says it’s a good thing that there’s no private investor money anymore, and lack of money is going to move the merger of the SPAC with DWAC right along. Great. Let’s see how that works. Believe me when I tell you I’ve had my eyes peeled, waiting for this.
It is unclear if the operator of Truth Social will attempt to raise additional funds to support the merger.
Newsweek reached out to Trump Media & Technology Group via email for comment.
The planned merger has been frequently delayed, with Digital World investors voting in September to give an extension of up to one year to complete the TMTG deal.
The deal has also faced a number of other setbacks, including a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation that found that DWAC had misled investors and the SEC by failing to disclose that it was planning on buying TMTG before it raised its $300 million in IPO funds. DWAC was fined $18 million as a result of the investigation.
DWAC also removed its former CEO, Patrick Orlando as the head of the company in March, with another former board member, Bruce Garelick, arrested in June on suspicion of insider trading.
That’s a real bummer when a CEO gets fired concurrent with a board member’s arrest. Would you believe it, some people would view that as a business being a crooked operation? I guess they just don’t know that Donald Trump’s business are always squeaky clean, perforce, or they simply would not worry.
Let’s see how far Devin gets in this quest.
