If You Needed A Reason To Vote This November: It’s Maxine Waters

America needs more Maxines.  In particular we need Maxine Waters.  If Democrats take the House back in November, the Chair of the Financial Services Committee has the power to subpoena Trump’s bank records.  This person who has subpoena power could be Senior Democratic Congresswoman, ass-kicker and vocal Trump-critic, Maxine Waters.

Congresswoman Waters has been under Trump’s skin lately after inviting people to make cabinet members uncomfortable whenever and wherever they show their faces in public spaces.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she said.

Trump responded to Waters with his typical ad hominem attack, plus threw in a threat, just to keep things interesting.

Karma can be a wonderful thing though. Twitter user, Denizcan Grimes says, “If Democrats take the House back in November, their current ranking member of the  Financial Services Committee becomes the chair of the committee, and has the power to subpoena Trump’s bank records.”

American Banker confirms the subpoena power, and according to Isaac Boltansky, a financial policy analyst at Compass Point, “Representative Waters is still expected to take the gavel if Democrats win the House” and that “All indications are that the House Financial Services Committee could prove to be one of the central fronts in the messaging war ahead of the 2020 election.”

Waters is in favor of stiffer rules on big banks and will likely try to use her subpoena power to investigate firms and people she has rebuked publicly – these include Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank and potentially Donald Trump.

Good news may be coming!  Get out and vote!
