There you have it folks. That’s the merit-based crowd. I didn’t know Kristi Noem was a beauty queen but that makes perfect sense.
This is who we are in 2025. A complete kakistocracy, “government by the least capable.” All that any of these people have in common is that they’re photogenic and they play out well on television.
The camera supposedly doesn’t lie but that’s not true. It lies all the time, either for you or against you. The camera loves some people and it minimizes or detracts from others. This is a well known fact in Hollywood.
So what we have in Washington is a bunch of photogenic, glib, morons. That is the long and the short of it. Television has warped our culture to this level where we are no longer a serious people. That was the message in 2016 but we all chose to say, no, it was a fluke, it was Russian interference. And yes, there was Russian interference. But even with all the interference in the world, Trump would have never have gotten the nomination but for the Republican party being utterly broken.
This time around we lost by 12 votes per precinct and people are saying voter suppression is the reason. That is undoubtedly true as well. But the bottom line is that tens of millions of Americans voted for this complete asshole and this ship of fools he’s staffed the government with, because they like him on some level. They identify with him. They think he will do “great” things, like restore America to a time of white male supremacy.
A wrecking ball is being taken to our government now. Here’s an image which says it all.
The greywashing of America, the eradication of all the values that you see enumerated on that wall. They can’t get a paint brush over “fairness” “compassion” “leadership” or “integrity” fast enough.
And we’re not even two weeks into this mess. Trump knows nothing except television. The only honest money he ever made was in television, doing The Apprentice. Every other business endeavor he ever touched fell on its face.
He has no experience in government but we live in a society where that’s not needed if one is a good enough con artist on television. Make no mistake, you live in Idiocracy now. That movie might have been intended as a social satire farce but it was in fact prophecy.

I get your point. I’m saying “honest money” in the sense that pretending to be something he isn’t, is actually the only honest thing he ever did. Too bad people are too stupid to know “reality” TV is scripted as hell.

That wall being grayed-out is a lobby wall at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. It is a motivational and aspirational word cloud like you might find at any school or office that wants to wear its mission on its sleeve. Yesterday on MSNBC’s “Deadline White House,” that graying-out image was shown and guest Frank Figliuzzi, former Asst. Dir. for Counterintelligence at the FBI, could barely contain his anger, disgust, and sadness. In real time, he was watching his life’s work being thrown in the dumpster and himself erased! Figliuzzi is a very public victim of our Constitional crisis..the coup! Most of us has not yet received our erasure, but it is on its way if we cannot stop the tyrant, his primary oligarch, and the thousands of minions and sycophants and cheerleaders who are helping the coup. I imagine him sending out.memos to Hollywood agents demanding they send him candidates who look.like generals ( tall, white, good-looking, great hair, muscular) or CEOs ( ditto).
