You remember the Inspector Renault character in Casablanca? His principles were non existant and he always sided with the ruling class, “and right now the wind is blowing from Vichy?” That’s Michael Cohen. Cohen has decided to take a job on a conservative radio station, with Donald Trump’s blessing, no less.
WABC owner John Catsimatidis said Cohen & Trump have smoothed things over: “I checked with the WH and they had no objection.”

Cohen would like to be the next Rush Limbaugh now? Wow. That and the fact that the radio station checked out the hire with Trump seems a bit out of bounds to me.
Why is Cohen doing this? Because like Inspector Renault he wants to be on the winning side? Or the grift is better with MAGA than it is on the left? Is WABC offering him a bag of money that he can’t refuse?
Who knows? What is known is that Cohen has burnt his bridges as a leftist commentator at this point. He’s got zero credibility after this. And I personally find it amazing that Cohen went to prison because of Trump, had his epiphany in prison as to who Trump was, and now all that is forgotten.
Money is everything to a lot of people and evidently that includes Michael Cohen. Or, maybe it’s simpler than that. Maybe it’s once a Trump toady, always a Trump toady. Maybe Cohen will pursue his one time ambition of running for Mayor of New York City.
