Meghan Markle’s father is not the classiest guy ever. He was un-invited to his own daughter’s wedding for selling photographs to the tabloids and if that wasn’t enough he did a tell all interview on British television recently where he blabbed comments that Prince Harry had made in private. Incredibly, he divulged the content of private, politically tinged conversations with Prince Harry to host told Piers Morgan. “I was complaining I didn’t like Donald Trump. He said give Donald Trump a chance, I sort of disagreed with that,” Markle said, before adding, “I think he was open to the experiment (of Brexit).”
Had Prince Harry, clearly on his guard, not given such studiously inoffensive answers to Markle Sr.’s obviously leading questions, Meghan’s dad’s ill-considered interview could have provoked a major diplomatic incident.
Meghan was said to be devastated by her father’s TV interview. Needless to say, he had not told her he was doing it.
It’s no secret that Prince Harry adored the Obamas, whom he met in Toronto, and that he does not like Donald Trump and didn’t invite him to the royal wedding.
There has also been discussion about Trump meeting with Harry or with his brother William when he visits Great Britain next week, but that has not been confirmed. Right now the Queen is planning to meet with Trump outside of London because of all the protests. Hopefully Trump will have enough class to not call her “Elizabeth” or “Liz” but don’t count on it.
As for Markle, it’s pretty much a done deal. He’s finished with the royal family.
