Donald is going to lose it bigly, when he hears this. Marjorie Taylor Greene just got on Twitter and laid down the MAGA law — to Trump. Isn’t that a bit of a turnaround, a mere priestess telling the cult leader what’s what? Yes it is and this is what Jeffrey Epstein hath wroght from the grave. Trump misjudged this one and badly. He thought he could push the Epstein files and then tell everybody fuggedaboutit all. No. It is not working that way.
I guess Marge is writing the playbook for MAGA now. That’s interesting. We have not yet heard definitively whether Marge would like to run for the Senate in Georgia. That would be a howler. OMFG. She’s a demi goddess in her own deep red district, but get her in a state wide race and she would find out that there are Georgians of far different stripes than she.
I doubt it will happen but who knows? Marge is known for her grandiosity as much as she is known for her rage and she excels at both. But imagine her in a debate with Jon Ossoff. Just the idea of that has me rolling on the floor.
And I’m sure Marge has discussed this with a number of people who have told her to run, believing that she can have whatever she wants in politics. I don’t see it that way. I see her as a MAGA icon, who has found her niche and that’s that. She’s a freak show in the House and heaven forfend she take it to the Senate. Although she and Tommy Tuberville would make quite the pair. I may have nightmares thinking about that.
Trump is a modern day boy who cried wolf. He got up there at the podium and brayed about the Deep State and the pedophiles and Epstein, and how he would bring it all down (90% of which doesn’t even exist beyond conspiracy theory) and now he’s being held to account for that.
Epstein did exist. All the tapes exist. Michael Wolff’s research exists. All the women who came forward in Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial exist. That is real.
And Donald doesn’t want to touch it with a twenty-foot pole.
And more victims will come forward, now that the doors are open. Trump brought this upon himself, blinded by his hubris and sense of invincibility to the massive risk he was taking in even mentioning his pal Epstein. He’s going to need some truly gigantic distraction to pull his rabid MAGAts’ attention away from this. Maybe a fake Canadian invasion of upper New York state? Trump would have to defend Buffalo, wouldn’t he?
I think Marge will stay in the House. She’s already put her stamp there, and will probably try for the Speakership, especially if the House gets flipped. After all, she has been drooling for the position since she was first elected.
If the House flips, Hakeem Jeffries will be the new Speaker, winning that vote going away. IIRC The best Empty Green could achieve is Minority Leader, and I don’t foresee the surviving GOP Reps rewarding her for the part she’s playing in the MAGA debacle.
Do I detect yet another crack about to open in MAGA world? When Fuentes denounced Trump the other day I had the distinct feeling that he really saw through all the crap. Fuentes,lthough his own political priorities are screwed up, at least finally understood that Trump is nothing but a con artist who is just interested in himself and makes stuff up to control the masses. From Marge’s words I ‘m not sure she gets this. It sounds like she’s mad at Trump because she thinks he is caving to the deep state, because he doesn’t have the guts to go after the people that really run the world: you know Hillary and Bill, Obama, Soros. Marge is not the brightest bulb in the box, you know.
