Somewhat strange. The entirety of all that is MAGA feels betrayed and this time they cannot even lay blame on some underling at Mar-a-Lago. But do give them time. Their trouble with the new Republican Majority leader Sen. John Thune is only a few hours old. For now they seem fine with screaming into thin air. And they are.

Mitch McConnell so emphatically and singularly ran the GOP Senate side of things such that when he announced that he would retire from leadership at the end of this calendar year, a serious fight to replace him was unavoidable. That fight would – of course, inevitably pit old school Republicans against the more Trumpy new folks – that’s just reality. That fight is over now that Thune won the position over MAGA-fave Sen. Rick Scott. (Who actually came in third behind another old school guy, John Cornyn – a lot of “Johns” in the GOP Senate, make of that what you will.)

Reality is such that Republican Senators were always going to do something at some point to assert some independence. It is also a reality that eventually someone close to Trump will take the blame. It is hard to lay perceived betrayal in the entirety of the red side of the chamber in mass. Someone will be blamed. For now just go with the random screams.

First reported by Rawstory, the omnipresent “Catturd” – MAGA influencer who self-identifies as a turd said:

“Trump won a historic landslide and a national mandate so naturally our Republican Senate elects one of the biggest Trump haters on planet earth as Majority leader. These skunks hate you.”

Evidently the fact that Thune’s first promise was to move the Trump agenda forward is neither here nor there. More wailing:

Oh, go drink with Chuck Schumer if you want to talk about horrible days. Additionally, a small minority voted for Scott in the first round which ended up with 23 for Thune, 15 for Cornyn and 13 for Scott. That is third place, even in Florida. You must do better than third if you want to talk about back-stabbing as below:

Hardly. As put all too often on “X” and your texts, “IIRC” the Republicans showed up to voice overwhelming Trump support in the previous administration, especially when it came time to vote on impeachments. There is a more thorough and final way to get at someone’s back.

Three? So even Scott himself couldn’t please every red-hatter. Tough crowd. Almost like they deserve each other. They will almost surely make amends, right about time to pass a tax cut. It can get a bit scary when red turns against red and wait until you see what they have in store for you:

No – don’t count yourself among “them.”

Technically they voted Scott down by having already voted him down – or something. As to only having Trump representing them, true – sort of. It is really all they really needed or wanted in the first place. There has likely never been a U.S. president more willing to hammer his own party in the Capitol when feeling aggrieved. So – yes, they “really have” Trump representing them and that’s all they really need.

Who is to blame? Who really cares? Well – they do. They care a surprising amount, actually. It is hard to envision how things would be different with Scott at the helm. He would have, and Thune still will, need nearly everyone at his side to pass anything. There are simply not enough Johns to satisfy everyone.

  2. Not one member of the GQP will not bow down and drop their pants for the tyrant. Sorry if that’s too graphic/disgusting. True though. They all fall in line and let him have his way.

  3. They’ve had ‘The Big Lieâ„¢’ for years now, so now we have another little one…

‘Trump won a historic landslide and a national mandate’.

Ah no, he got 50.5 % of the vote., 1/3 of people also didn’t vote, so he got 1/3 of all the voters, that’s not a mandate. If he’d been an abortion mandate in Florida, he wouldn’t have got in at all, not making a 60% threshold. He’s a long, long way from a landslide.

And in the EC he got 312 to 226

Obama vs McCain 365 to 179

Obama vs Romney 332 to 206

Clinton vs Bush 370 to 168

Clinton vs Dole 379 to 159

Saying things are something doesn’t make them true, if it’s a lie, it’s a lie.

Trump still hasn’t achieved Clinton or Obama’s record.

Look at that Donny, still not as good as a black man.

    • America is a national lie, full of fake patriots who know NOTHING about our history, who’ve NEVER sacrificed by serving in the military, and have voted a traitor and Hitler admirer into office, after NINE YEARS of his continual lies. Phuck this goddamn country. Let karma take FULL EFFECT and turn the heat up on suffering. We deserve it. The children don’t but we don’t give a rat’s ass if they’re chopped to pieces at school. We are an evil country that worships MONEY. That’s it in a nutshell. The devil quotes scripture so stick that Trump Bible up your asses. If you didn’t vote, voted 3rd party, or voted for Trump then whatever happens the blood is ON YOUR HANDS YOU PHUCKING HYPOCRITES.
