Somehow, I don’t think this segment turned out as planned.

Jesse Watters had a Tarot Card reader on his show tonight doing a splay for the Dotard in 2024 and the first card she turned up was the Five of Cups Upright:

“There are certain Tarot cards whose imagery immediately conjure up negative emotions, and the Five of Cups carries such weight. This is a card which signifies loss as well as the painful challenges which stem from that particular loss.

The card depicts a figure that is wearing a black cloak. The person hides his face in what seems to be despair. There are five cups on the ground, three of which have fallen while the other two remain standing. The person, however, seem to notice that there are two standing cups as is too busy mourning over those which are fallen. There is a powerful river which flows between him and a house or a castle in the distance, indicating that a torrent of emotions have separated him from home.

The Five of Cups symbolizes disappointment, and the feelings that come when things go differently as you expected. You are feeling unhappy that a certain situation hasn’t really turned out the way you have hoped it would. Instead of moving towards a more positive perspective, this card seems to say that you are dwelling in the past, inducing feelings of self-pity and regret. The water which is actually spilled from the cups shows that you might have missed an opportunity. It also shows that the problem is mostly emotional and not material or financial.”

I am not fully convinced of the power of Tarot to read the future but…

“Career Meaning – Upright 5 of Cups
The five of cups signifies loss and grief. In the context of your career, this can take place in the form of a loss of a job, business, a coveted project, or partnership. Perhaps you are being forced to take a step backwards in your career. Or it may be that someone with whom you work might abandon the projects you shared, or you may choose to walk away instead. This may be a period of sadness and transformation. These changes are hard, but they offer a learning opportunity. There may be more to salvage than what you initially thought. Try to maintain positive relationships with old coworkers outside of the office. Stay connected to the best elements of what you lost.”

Somehow, the Orangeutan does not seem to me to be the type to embrace learning opportunities or maintain positive relationships.

I predict a lousy 2024 for drumpf.

In any case Twitterers had great fun with the clip:

  1. The reference to “… THE FIVE OF CUPS CARRIES SUCH WEIGHT. THIS IS A CARD WHICH SIGNIFIES LOSS AS WELL AS THE PAINFUL CHALLENGES WHICH STEM FROM THAT PARTICULAR LOSS…” above, is delicious, isn’t it; served with a prolonged downward dribble of on-the-wall ketchup, to give it some flavour.

  2. This is a link to a political Tarot card reader, Dr. Lena Rodriguez of Tarot Down Under.

    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tarot+down+under

She is a sociologist in Australia and the daughter of Irish parents. She has been on one of Mary Trump’s podcast. Oh, she hates the English and Republicans and she is very snarky.

She is one of several Tarot card readers my wife and I have watched since 2016.
They all despise Trump and because of YouTube rules she calls Trump the Yeti. They all keep up with politics and use their YouTube shows to discuss and pontificate on current political events. Tarot is not very specific and the cards have to be taken in context. For instance ‘The Fool’ can mean literally a fool to a big change, taking a big chance. The readers are a wonderful community that have worked for these last seven years to entertain and keep their viewers spirits up. Tarot is not very specific and the cards can be construed to mean all sorts of things, but damn if these people aren’t spot on most of the time. Of course, I could probably come up with some of the same conclusions just based on the available information and I don’t think I have a spirit guide.

    • I have read Tarot since I was 16, nearly 60 years. You are correct about context. My personal.take is it reveals the emotional and psychological state of the person being read for, the reasons for that state,,and the course that will.follow unless they reconsider their actions. It has, always been uncannily accurate.

Had my palm.read once, by a complete stranger (no.money exchanged). I was 22, not dating anyone. She told me I would have 2 great loves, one in.my 20s, and a permanent one starting in my mid 30s. I married the first time at 27. He died in 1984 when I was 34 –he was 6 years younger and it was a fluke heart issue. I.met my second husband on 12/5. I was 36. We have been married for 35 years. I t was uncannily accurate.

I think cards and palmistry are just means of harnessing that extra sixth sense. I am.A good tarot reader, but I have never done well.with the Duke Zener cards.

On Daily Kos, my user name was irishwitch. Wiccan for 54 years.

        • Bright blessings, sister.
.I am 74. I self initiated at 20. I like my religion disorganized, and with little dogma. And a God should have a,Goddess and be gay,,straight, asexual, bi, trans, A d a lot of things we cannot even begin to consider because it’s a,darned big universe out there.
I serve Morrigan Brigid,,and Wine (aka a,Carrie Queen who married I to the Fitzgerald family; we also.have a,Wizard Earl and an alchemists I. the family tree).
