Jason Aldean recently made all the news with his MAGA anthem “Try That In A Small Town” which implied that if one advocated for social Justice and the right not to be murdered by the police in rural America that you just might be lynched or otherwise eliminated for your efforts… filmed at the site where a notorious lynching occurred…

In the following video rising country music icon and my new personal hero “Ginger Billy” slaps that bullshite straight the fu*k down.

You go, Ginger:

The lyrics to Ginger’s song eluded me on the web but Crook And Liars offer a fair overview:

“Ginger Billy has made this parody of Jason Aldean’s song. Frankly, the parody is closer to the truth, if you ask me. Everything from the drunken fights to the scam artists. The only thing missing was the tavern on every other corner. And, since I’m at it, those trucks are way too nice. The should be rustbuckets where the only thing that works well is the stereo. Not all heroes wear capes.

Some wear a beard.

Thank you Ginger Billy.

  1. There’s an artist on our side! Yon light breaks in the darkness in Billy Bob’s drinking hole! You don’t see much of that in a small town.

  2. I have lived in small towns a good part my life and Ginger Billy is on the right track, just not violent enough. I saw a man get shot one night next to the town’s best restaurant. The shooter was the husband of the woman running around with the other guy. The other guy took one 12 gauge round center chest at about 15 feet. It did not take much to determine that he was dead, since he no longer had a heart and a significant portion of his spine was gone. I could go on but I won’t. These folks talking about how wonderful small towns are do that because they do not have to live there anymore.

  3. 6 years in N. FL and 12_in GA. So incredibly true. They left out the morbidly obese women stuffed inro teeshirts, and leopard print short shorts too sizes too small and the church ladies minding everyone else’s business and the preacher bilking the congregation

    Mayberry lied.

  4. Grew up in a small town. What was missing the most was a decent education. Recently moved to another state to another small town. If we had kids would have decent education. As far as the song goes. Your actions will get you in trouble no matter where you are. Everyone wants there 5 minutes of fame. Aldean is any different. He’s trying to exploit people living in small towns. That is wrong. Now Billy in his spoof of the song is great. It’s someone striking back against the machine. It’s something we need in this country. It’s the whole American 🇺🇸 story and it’s downfall. Billy doesn’t know it but he probably has inspired more people than aldean could ever hope for.
