Though many of us have long been wary of writing about impending, debilitating Donald Trump health conditions, especially after continuous doom-talk throughout his first administration, it is still true that any president’s health is a significant concern. This is even more obvious with a particularly elderly president, one who has at least acted cognitively impaired for a long time, indeed – he’s graded on a new “Trump scale” in which virtually nothing surprises. Additionally, especially of late, he has been dovetailing before our eyes, the bruised hands, the puffy “cankles,” the stunned look, and the inexplicable speech, all impossible to ignore. As all know, Trump just recently threw out new meat on the issue when he announced that he had a new MRI at Walter Reed, and – of course, it was “perfect.” But even to the extent that it could be true, doctors don’t order MRIs as a purely precautionary step. There has to be some impetus, some open question, and MRIs don’t catch everything, especially when it comes to dementia.
Following up on several articles that have noted the above, the Lincoln Project – professional Trump Trollers, just came out and said the now-obvious. Trump must be sick. Even more, they now have video evidence to prove it:

It really is a good point. And where one can make an argument that in the past, Trump’s possible neuro symptoms were overplayed, it is much more likely now that they are being undercovered. Of course, it’s impossible to teli whether the nation is better off when he’s at his best, or safer when he’s struggling. We know what Democrats really want…
This is where Trump’s bullying of the press really comes into play. The fact that the White House is willing to toss out anyone who has significant evidence and gets fairly bold with a question puts a major constraint on what would otherwise be critical coverage of a man who spent the last four years wailing away at how President Biden was next thing to dead. Now, Trump is meandering around looking like he’s been hit over the head, rambling about magnets and water to U.S. troops, while also saying that he doesn’t care what the public thinks about the military in cities, and very few are willing to come out and sum it up like the Lincoln Project just did.
Were it not bad enough, there is the issue noted above that Trump is already graded on a sliding scale, one in which it is expected that he make no sense and embarrass himself and the country.
As noted, doctors don’t schedule MRIs in the same way that they check blood pressure. This is not a test to just “cover all the basics.” There have to be symptoms that warrant ruling out possible conditions. We can see some of those symptoms in the video above – pretty obvious. Much more concerning are those symptoms we don’t know anything about.
Certainly worth watching closely, and now covering with a bit more earnestness. No one else seems willing to do it. He is already over the cliff on the Biden scale. Now, though – even the Trump one is much more concerning.

My sister has dementia, though she’s physically functioning, just a bit off mentally, sometimes more off than others. She had a small stroke in July, which didn’t have a huge effect on her, though the first week or so, she was a bit weaker. The hospital performed an MRI to check on her brain, and they found where she’d had a previous small stroke, but no idea when that happened. They’ve also determined her dementia is vascular, is due to those strokes. How many times in the last few years have we suspected similar events with Rump after weird behavior, weird physicality, weird statements? How many strokes do you suppose he’s had? It’s possible to have strokes and dementia and still mostly function, especially when you have a stable of lackies, flunkies, a**-kissers and other enablers to prop you up. He could go anytime, which would be fine with me except for: what are we going to get after him? JDV is full of himself and may be even more of a danger to Americans and democracy than the demented one. God, how did we get into this mess?
