Yet another Republican, or should we say “former Republican” chiming in on Nancy Mace’s mental health problems. Kevin McCarthy does it in a kind of backdoor way with a false equivalency but maybe there’s some wit in that, intentional or unintentional. McCarthy goes out of his way to compare Mace to Eric Swalwell. Nobody else sees the resemblance other than McCarthy, but since Swalwell is despised on the other side of the aisle, linking Mace with him is all the more egregious an accusation. Even Jesse Watters picked up on it and he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Watters: OMG, you hate Nancy Mace
McCarthy: I don’t. I want her to get the help she needs.

McCarthy has aged a lot out of office. That’s intriguing. We’re told that public service is aging — at least for the people who are taking it seriously and doing the work — but it’s rare that you see somebody who has retired from public service to look as haggard as McCarthy. In any event, McCarthy’s not the subject here, Mace is.
Mace’s own staffers have described her behavior as “poisonous” and she’s got a tremendous staff turnover. Then the incident that happened a few weeks ago at the airport was certainly poisonous. That was when Mace was displeased with the service she got from aiport security and even conservative radio host Erick Erickson described her behavior as erratic and suggested she “needs an intervention.”
Both Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott were disinclined to go to Mace’s defense when she castigated airport security, mentioning their names, and claiming that they would have gotten better treatment than she got.
Mace has complained of death threats. Everybody in politics gets death threats to some extent. It’s part of the job description. The issue is credible death threats, like the ones Obama used to get and simple social media putdowns, which are a dime a dozen. It’s easy to slay somebody with a keyboard. Distinguishing between the keyboard warriors and the actual crazies is the key.
Plus, Mace fails to look at the root of her “problem” which is that she’s flying off the handle every few minutes. She couldn’t even sit still for Epstein victim testimony, knowing full well what it was going to sound like coming out of the gate. Mace had to leave the room in tears, a gesture which many people in the House dismissed as Mace’s usual histrionics and desire for attention.
If there is one thing Mace needs, it is some kind of a therapist who specializes in narcissism and understands why people like Mace need to have cameras on them at all times or they don’t feel alive. Maybe there’s a name for this syndrome. We know that Mace suffers from it and if there is a Patient Zero with the same syndrome, that person would be Donald Trump.
It’ll be a cold day in Hell, however, before you hear the likes of Kevin McCarthy talk about Trump getting the care he needs. The only one to do that is psychologist niece Mary Trump. And it’s a cinch nobody in the Trump family listens to her. Eric has described his cousin as “disturbed.” No Eric, she’s normal, she only appears to be disturbed to you because you don’t know what normal is. It is not Dad. That’s just how you have been brainwashed.
But then what do you expect from a guy who claims he was pouring cement and working on constructions sites at a time when he was a child and it would have been illegal as hell for him to do so?
Maybe Kevin McCarthy can find some shrink to give the Republican party a group rate? In this day and age, Nancy Mace is far and away not the only GOPer who is in need of help. She’s just one of a handful of most needy.

KremlinKevin? He’s still alive? I thought the old lying son of a bitch had choked to death on Taco Pedos cheeto
I admit to being slightly intrigued by the photo of Nancy in her PJs with small mutt. Does she know you should have a car with you when you visit late-night gas stations? And why does the newly-slimmed Kevin think he could in any way “put her in any position to make decisions?” He must have forgotten he’s been put out to pasture.
