There is no disputing who rules the Pence household, and it ain’t the patriarch.
And there is only one reason that Karen Pence would allow her husband to be in the same room with a shitbag who treats women like something he found on the bottom of his shoe, who makes a mockery of the religion she professes to adhere to, who is profane and misogynistic and just generally white trash…
Karen wants to be the First Lady.
So Karen sucked it up and, despite her utter abhorrence for Donald Trump and perhaps 20% of what he stood for, supported her husband’s ambition and helped to put the Antichrist into the White House.
And I think we all know the reason why. Only by electing the Trump/Pence ticket could she further her ultimate goal to impose her vision of Christocracy on America.
But in the days leading up to January 6, 2021, with Don Cornholeone calling every 5 minutes and haranguing Father to install him as dictator, Karen could see her dream slipping away.
Who did that asshole think he was, anyway? He had lost the election and Pre-Cult political tradition required him to slink off to obscurity and allow her hubby, and by extension herself, to while away four years and re-emerge as the power couple of 2024, tanned, rested and ready to usher in Christ’s dominion over the nation.
And when Trump phoned on Insurrection day and called Mike a wimp and a pussy, well if the revolt wasn’t in full flower already, her tiger lily went super nova at that point.
Breaking Mike Pence to the saddle was her purview and no way was drumpf gonna take the reins…
Mob or no mob, she and Mike weren’t going anywhere until that asshole was ground into electoral count dust.
In order to destroy secular democracy she had to save it.

In a Michael Lewis book, he quotes Karen Pence, as saying,” well you finally got what you want”, when asked to be VP. There was a clear implication, she was against this. So I am not sure this article is accurate.
There is a reason Mike Pence always looks so hangdog, this is precisely the sort of thing a controlling spouse would say. I don’t think she relished his serving with Trump, probably hoped they would lose and Mike could position himself for the ‘20 nomination. But she certainly got on board at some point, she hit the stump pretty hard in 2020. But you’re entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.
