John Kelly Contributes To Colorful West Wing With Profanity and Fisticuffs

John Kelly was quoted as saying the White House was “a miserable place to work,” and it does seem intense, to say the least. Last week Kelly engaged in a profanity-laced shouting match with national security adviser John Bolton which had many people speculating that one of the two would resign immediately. Anthony Scaramucci, who is no stranger to profanity-laced rants himself, says that rather than bringing order to the West Wing, which Kelly was hired to do, he has actually “hurt the morale inside the place.”

“And he’s hurt the president. And he has hissy fits,” Mr. Scaramucci said, adding that “he’s demonstrating his personality now the way he really is.”

And there was no love lost between Kelly and former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

As Mr. Kelly walked toward a hallway leading back to his office, he called to someone to remove Mr. Lewandowski from the building. The two then began arguing, with Mr. Lewandowski speaking loudly. Mr. Kelly grabbed Mr. Lewandowski by his collar, trying to push him against a wall, according to a person with direct knowledge of the episode.

Mr. Lewandowski did not get physical in response, according to multiple people familiar with the episode. But Secret Service agents were called in. Ultimately, the two men agreed to move on, those briefed on the episode said.

Despite all this, Trump maintains that his White House is a finely calibrated instrument. Just last week he invited a New York Magazine reporter into the White House, and this is what Kelly said.

“There is, to the best of my knowledge, no chaos in this building,” Mr. Kelly said during that interview. “We’ve gotten rid of a few bad actors, but everyone works very, very well together.”

No matter what happens, everything reverts to the standard Trumpworld line, everything is fine, just fine. Supposedly Kelly is on board until 2020.

    • HA HA!! Yes!! They did it Trump’s way! Trump even played that Sinatra song at his inauguration! And Nancy Sinatra told him she didn’t approve and knew her father wouldn’t have. Frank Sinatra told Trump to go f*ck himself, remember that? I wrote a diary on it. If you never read it, let me know and I’ll get you the link.
