Big John, Big John…Big Dumb John. If there was a competition today for stupidest man in the Senate, I think it would be a dead heat between Ron Johnson and John Cornyn, although this might put Cornyn over the top. Today he dropped this gem into the cultural narrative.

I love the Republican party. They dig their grave, jump into it, and when they’re down there and the dirt is being shoveled over them, they wail and scream about the Evil Democrats and how they’ve been betrayed.

we do have shithole senators and dumbass congress people, but there are some good parts of Texas like Austin and San Antonio where I live. I wish I could tell cornholio what I thought about him, but he has blocked me from commenting on his official government sight like the coward he is.
I really dislike these sorts of dubious out-of-context posts. What Cornyn is saying is that Biden is an FDR poseur who is promising to pull the country out of despair, when either the country is not is despair in the first place or not actually doing anything to fulfill that promise. That is the assertion to dispute, not the silly false one that Cornyn is criticizing Biden for pulling the country out of despair. Disputing a point not being made is very close to propaganda. So of course it is a no brainer, like all straw men.
