There are only two types of people in the world, people who hate Ted Cruz and Ted Cruz. John Boehner is in the larger class of persons, with the rest of us, who hate Ted Cruz. Boehner was earlier quoted as saying, “I’ve never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life,” and he also called Cruz “Lucifer in the flesh” and “Satan.” Cruz’ response to these gibes was that Boehner “allowed his inner Trump to come out.”

Now John Boehner is putting together an audio book of memoirs and he has some fond comments to make to Teddums. Axios:

John Boehner has been going off script while recording the audio version of his new memoir, using expletives and asides not in the book — such as the former Republican House speaker saying, “Oh, and Ted Cruz, go f**k yourself,” Alayna and Axios’ Jonathan Swan report.

Why it matters: The book is appropriately titled, “On the House: A Washington Memoir.” It promises to share “colorful tales from the halls of power, the smoke-filled rooms around the halls of power and his fabled tour bus.” Two sources familiar with the tapings told Axios about the asides.

  • The audio version, which includes an even heftier price tag of $39.99, will be sprinkled with Boehner’s unfiltered, baritone, inner monologue.

Boehner is not the only one who feels this way about Ted Cruz. Lindsey Graham has been famously quoted as saying, “If you murdered Ted Cruz in the well of the Senate and held the trial there, nobody would convict you.” And Al Franken had coffee cups made with the inscription, “I like Ted Cruz better than anybody and I hate Ted Cruz.”

Maybe Teddums could write his biography, “How not to win friends and influence people.” He seems to be a natural at it. But don’t hold your breath for it. The more likely alternative is that Ted will go on Fox News and wail about how victimized he is.

  1. Boehner’s book may sell a lot of copies. (Maybe they could collect the comments and add them to the print edition as endnotes or footnotes.)

  2. He can wail about being a victim, but at the same time he put himself in this situation. He acts like the biggest jerk and doesn’t care who doesn’t like him, until it suits him to play the victim. Despite it all, I believe the real Ted is a jerk. Just my opinion.

  3. As much of a pain that Boehner as Speaker could be, he certainly has a way with words. I often say the same thing when the wretched repuQs are spewing their nonsense. Why just tonight I told John (no relation) Kennedy to go fuck himself when he was making a fool of himself with the left of Lenin comment. What a moron. Ted Cruz is beyond a moron, a mealy-mouthed, self-righteous, smarmy POS, and he and his beard are UUUUUGHLY! Can’t stand these repuQs.
