The cultural divide plows right through the White House, unfortunately. Depending on whether there’s a Democrat or a Republican on the premises, a lot of things are different. You well recall what a travesty the Trump years were, when the majestic Rose Garden was bulldozed under for reasons only known to Melania Trump. Jealousy, maybe? Jackie Kennedy created a visual marvel that endured for decades until some bimbo who’s taste is in her mouth, if that, decided that emptiness was a better look. It was a look which expressed her and the depths of her soul, in all events.
And then of course there were the blood red Christmas trees, which immediately became a Handmaid’s Tale meme, not to mention the stuff of nightmares, not to mention the frozen wasteland depicted above. And Melania resented having to do fukeeng Creesmuss decorations, as you recall. I guess honoring our traditions cut into her Botox sessions, who knows? In any event, the look of the White House this holiday season is something else altogether. And it is wonderful.

I don’t know if you recall the details of the Creesmuss trees audio, which was released by Melania’s former BFF and Inauguration Day coordinator, Stephanie Winston-Wolkoff, but the only reason that particular horrendous tape didn’t get a lot more airplay was because at midnight that same day, it was announced that both Trump and wifey had COVID-19. And you recall the rest of that debacle, the helicopter to Walter Reed, the dramatic scene on the Truman balcony when Trump took off his mask. And that was drama, folks. Trump risked smearing his makeup with that mask, which is why he hated to wear them in the first place. You can’t look masculine leaving your makeup on everything, right? Maybe Trump should have consulted with The Phantom Of The Opera, those two actually have a lot in common.
While the Bidens are in the White House, this is what you’ll see, entertainment, joy, Broadway, art, class. When Trumpty was in the White House, you saw the likes of Kevin Sorbo and Jon Voight. Dear Gawd.
Speaking of Jon Voight, I’m willing to bet you won’t see a reunion of the cast of H.E.A.T. anytime soon, because Robert DeNiro would probably punch Jon Voight out. It’s a tremendous shame that we live in such a polarized world. One truism has always held in our culture, that art triumphs over all and no matter what our differences, we can put them aside to enjoy entertainment and the arts. But the reality TV trust fund baby smashed even that simple convention.
Trump world has polarized everything. Trump stands for destruction, whether it’s the Rose Garden or our system of government. Nothing is safe, all is at risk.
Let us at least join together to enjoy the spirit of the holiday season as best we can and this wonderful routine from the White House as we get into the countdown of days until Christmas. This is a wonderful beginning.

Which is odd, and hypocrisy for that matter, they would object to the current W.H. decorations. The current decorations look very much like those back in the day and definitely look like the over-the-top crap we see today. You’d think they’d be happy. Of course they’re never happy so w.t.f.

Trump did not polarize everything: it had a very, very, good start years before. Did he, and house ‘pubes, make it worse? Yes. Polarization in our body politic, and across the nation, was quite obvious years before we were inflicted with the infestation of magats and their slug king. This problem was screaming at us, needing to be solved, back when the tea-baggers were on the scene. And before.

The shoes have metal.pieces on the sole. The steps are designed to use those pieces. Fred Adtaire,,Honey Chiles, Bill.Robinson and Buddy Ensemble were hoofers. Key tapped but also choreographed a lot of ballet zequences. 9 years of ballet hete, a fan of old movies, and taken to.musicals from.age 5.
Has the Rose Garden been restored yet?

I remember before the Obamas left the White House, Michelle had a bunch of concrete borders, etc put in around her garden to make it more of a permanent structure. I have wondered if DON THE CON & Melania had that all destroyed on purpose or if the permanent structures surrounding it still exist. I haven’t heard anything about Jill bringing that back into a functioning garden.
