It was intriguing to many people that Jenna Ellis got indicted in Georgia along with all the rest of the Trump kit and kaboodle. She’s managed to stay off of the front lines. The worst thing that has happened to her, prior to Monday’s indictment, was being censured by the State Bar of Colorado. Right Wing Watch:

…in March 2023, she admitted that false comments she made after the 2020 election were “reckless” and “undermined the American public’s confidence in the presidential election, violating her duty of candor to the public.” Among the statements she admitted were false was a claim she made on Fox host Jeannine Pirro’s show that Trump’s legal team had found more than 500,000 votes “that were cast illegally” in Arizona. Ellis accepted censure and agreed that she violated regulations that say it is “professional misconduct for a lawyer to engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.”

That’s not a bad track record, to go from the 2020 election and all the election fraud madness that Ellis generated as a part of Strike Force Rudy, until Spring of 2023. But not it’s summer of the same year and an indictment for racketeering is a bit more serious than censure by a state bar.

Ellis has another strike against her, at least so far as MAGA is concerned. She has abandoned their Mango Messiah and cast her lot with Ron DeSantis. Uh oh spaghetti-os.

Ellis, whose Twitter bio in Trumpier and less humble days described herself as “America’s Lawyer,” now sports the humble brag, “A Servant of Jesus Christ.” Ellis is popular in religious-right circles for representing churches that challenged public health restrictions imposed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was a fellow at Liberty University’s then-named Falkirk Center and has served as special counsel to the religious-right Thomas More Law Center.

In 2015, she wrote a book arguing that “divine law” is “the only legitimate basis for constitutional authority.” In the introduction, Ellis wrote that the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling created “a Constitutional crisis greater than we have ever faced since the original Constitutional Convention in 1787.” Later in the book, she criticized the Court’s 2003 decision in Lawrence v. Texas for “making same-sex sexual activity legal under a fabricated ‘privacy right’ found nowhere in the Constitution.”

Ellis now hosts a show on the American Family Network, the radio arm of the anti-LGBTQ American Family Association, a platform she has used to denounce the multiple legal investigations of Trump. […]

Given how tightly she is now legally connected to Trump, it is interesting to note that while she enthusiastically rode the Trump train to prominence in the MAGA movement, she has recently ditched her former boss and is promoting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president. As a result, Ellis has now become an enemy to many in the MAGA movement for which she fought so hard.

Good luck with Fani Willis on one side and angry MAGAs on the other. If I had to venture an opinion I would say that Jenna Ellis is toast. I hoped you saved whatever money you made at Newsmax, Jenna, because after you’re convicted you probably won’t practice law again and I think your days in right-wing media might be numbered.

But be of good cheer. Mike Lindell might hire you and he may have a couple of bucks left to keep you all going for another year or so. Or, maybe Paula White can introduce you to some eligible bachelors with money, you both being women of God and all.

  1. What manner of craziness is this? A self-professed “woman of Jeebus” hooking up with DemonSantis? I guess she can forget about asking Trump (who sure as hell OWES her) to cough up some bucks for the legal fees she probably had thought she’d wind up not needing after all. Really, A drubbing from the CO Bar was I’m sure she thought long ago the worst consequence she’d suffer from her time serving Trump. That’s one helluva sandbag shot she’s just taken upside the head now that “RICO” has come a callin!

  2. Do ANY of these dreedubens know anything about the concept of “free will”? Countries create Constitutions because jeebus doesn’t exist nor would he have any f*cks to give about how humans govern themselves if he did.

This silly twat makes a living riding gravy trains and trump was merely the most recent. I expect she wants a ride on desantis’ next. Pity there is a high likelihood there won’t be one.

    • Please refrain from using vulgar words for a part of female anatomy to describe people you don’t agree with. You can do better. I’ve seen it

  3. There’s good evidence Jesus did exist during Roman times as he is mentioned by two Roman historians. That being said, she knows as much about Jesus as I do about the multiple moons around Jupiter. Of course, that’s the situation with most believers of all faiths, and the situation with the citizens of this country knowing our history. The difference is most rational people have a grasp of what they may not know, whereas these liars aren’t interested in ANY true knowledge about ANYTHING. Maybe they can learn what the prison system is all about. There’s no substitute for experience.
