This is pretty bad, even for Jeanine Pirro. This is full demonization of “the other” which, once again, is people living south of the border and purportedly having a field day crossing the border and doing God knows what since Joe Biden has been in office. That’s the basic narrative.

Univision anchor Fernando Espuelas wasn’t having any of it.

He makes a valid point, two in fact: 1. This is total disinformation. Since the spread of the pandemic, Mexico has had a fraction of the cases that the United States has had, about a quarter of a million, to the nine million plus in the United States. You wouldn’t be able to guess that from this tirade and 2. This is very racist. No other way to call it.

It’s fairly easy to speculate that when it hits the fan in Texas in a few weeks or months, and COVID is on the rampage, after the ill-advised and dangerous actions of Governor Greg Abbott in opening the state back up to 100% capacity and disregarding the mask mandate, Mexico will be blamed. That seems to be the obvious set up here.

Very ugly.
