It’s about time. The GOP-led House has been slavering to bring charges of some sort against Hunter Biden. So now, a situation exists where Hunter Biden is going to be held accountable for income tax irregularities. Good for Jamie Raskin for moving the conversation on to other issues of glaring importance, far and away from the comparative trivia of all things Hunter Biden: namely, why did Jared Kushner get $2 Billion from the Saudis?
Raskin said in a statement provided to PoliticusUSA:
The U.S. Attorney for Delaware, appointed by former President Trump and kept on by President Biden, has investigated and now criminally charged the son of the sitting President with two misdemeanor tax counts and a firearms count. This development reflects the Justice Department’s continued institutional independence in following the evidence of actual crimes and enforcing the rule of law even in the face of constant criticism and heckling by my GOP colleagues who think that the system of justice should only follow their partisan wishes.
Oversight Committee Republicans have advanced debunked conspiracy theories about President Biden and are now, again, wailing about the work of a Trump appointed U.S. Attorney. Meanwhile, our colleagues have refused to investigate Jared Kushner and Donald Trump’s receipt of billions of dollars from autocratic regimes after handing them a string of outrageous policy favors and concessions.
This is long overdue. This is a major issue, especially in concert with what we’ve learned about Donald Trump showing people war plans to go against Iran. Did he show MBS the war plans? Or did Jared show MBS the war plans? This is the real narrative that this country needs to follow and not some frou frou about Joe Biden’s less than perfect son who once had an issue with drugs. That horse left the barn years ago and has since been beaten to death. Let’s move on to the important issues in our government, how the son-in-law of the former president sold out the country to his buddies in the Middle East.
And it’s not like it’s a new story. Even as early as 2017, Kushner was teamed up with Steve Bannon and Mike Flynn and they were selling nuclear start up kits to the Saudis. Let’s revisit that issue, shall we? National security is on the line here and not Page Six level gossip.

The $2billion payment to Kushner perhaps was payment for the classified documentation that Jamal Khashoggi was a CIA agent……perhaps the subject of one of the empty folders found in the Trump-O hoard.
…..either that, or MLB just gets off on writing very large checks to skinny, greasy and somewhat slimy Jewish guys….

Jared Kushner is the reason MBS is crown prince, he was not the first choice of his father. Jared belongs in prison along with his demented father-in-law. Everything was a transaction and whatever benefitted them was primary, forget the country and our national security.
We’re starting to see people who have generally been allowed to skate but are instead brought to some kind of justice. Hunter Biden, Trump, Trump’s wealthy/well-connected compadres, etc. This is not a bad thing. The ‘pubes in the house might be whining about Hunter’s slap on the wrist, never mind he has cooperated with authorities, but the fact is a sitting President’s son has received punishment for crimes committed. Eastman is looking at disbarment. Bannon was busted. This might be a start of what should have been happening all along: your wealth and connections mean dick when you break the law. Let’s hope so anyway.
I’d say that should the Democrats retake the house, Jar-jar might be in for a rough ride.
One other thing-Jr. had better be looking over his shoulder constantly. Drugs and firearms do not mix especially in the eyes of law enforcement. It’d sure be a sad day if the little coke fiend ended up in the hoosegow because he was found with a controlled substance along with all those firearms he owns.
Sure hope someone in law enforcement peruses P.Z.
