It’s too bad that Robert Trump is no longer on this side of the grass. Apparently Donald used to confide in him, at least back in the 80’s, when he was going down the tubes financially. Trump rallied, and we are sure that Vladimir Putin could explain the details of that, if anybody could, but I don’t know if Putey is going to be able to bail Trump out this time. This time he may just be too far gone.

At least niece Mary thinks so. If you missed the basics, today was one small step for jurisprudence, one giant leap into the abyss for Donald Trump. His gag order was reinstated by an appellate court. And look for this to be the watchword going forward. The next higher court to debate a major Trump issue will probably be the Colorado Supreme Court, and they may decide to kick him off the ballot. In all events, Trump is now prohibited “from disparaging court staff, particularly his [Engoron’s] principle law clerk, who has come under attack by Trump on social media,” and Mary Trump thinks he won’t be able to control himself.

When Judge Engoron made sure Donald’s attorneys were aware that the Appellate Division First Department reinstated his two gag orders, and that he would enforce them vigorously, they responded with a comment as ill-advised as it was rude:

“It’s a tragic day for the rule of law,” Donald’s attorney Kise said, “but we are aware.”

“It is what it is,” Engoron quipped. These lawyers aren’t doing Donald any favors – getting on Engoron’s bad side won’t make him any less likely to hold Donald accountable.

But why is this gag order decision so bad for Donald?

Because according to my quick consultation with legal expert Joe Gallina, “Donald will be in jail very soon.” Knowing Donald personally, I fully agree. Here’s why.

Donald’s massive ego and insecurity make him unable to follow this order. My family and I have seen this compulsion first hand. When he is under pressure, he has zero self control.

Now that one of the two gag orders has been reinstated with stiff penalties, it’s only a matter of time before he will violate it. He can’t help himself.

There is something that makes jail more likely as a punishment:

“People need to remember this important point,” Gallina said. Donald was ALREADY fined $5000 by Judge Engoron’s court for violating the gag order. Then he was fined AGAIN for $10,000. He was ALREADY warned about possible imprisonment – not once, but TWICE.”

“He is out of chances,” Gallina concluded.

I agree with these two. Looking at Truth Social right now, Trump is crowing about how his “Chicago condos are selling like hotcakes” and how all the real estate world loved him. Only Laura Loomer is kvetching about how Trump’s gag order is “unconstitutional.” Maybe that’s how this will go, now. Maybe Loomer will be Trump’s proxy and disparage his enemies since he can’t do it.

Things might be quiet for the moment, but you know it won’t last. It’s not only characterological issues here, it’s far more basic than that. Trump HAS to disparage his enemies, be rude, be vile, because that’s red meat for the base. And if you don’t throw them red meat, then they don’t take out the debit card and kick you over some coin. And Trump needs as much coin as he can possibly get his hands on.

Yeah, but Loomer is also much easier to hold accountable under slander/libel laws because she can’t make any kind of bogus “free speech” argument like Trump was doing (because he’s “campaigning”).
