Well, that didn’t take long, now did it? It makes you wonder why Ivanka even bothered, but then as F. Scott Fitzgerald opined back in the day, “the very rich are different from you and me.” And the Trumps, who once used to be very rich, but seem hell bent on destroying their one asset, are very very different from most people.

Ivanka has moved heaven and earth to avoid next week’s Wednesday appearance. She has claimed “overbroad” subpoenas and when that didn’t work she went to “scheduling conflict” and when that didn’t work she dredged up what an “undue hardship” it would be to fly to New York and leave the kids — when guess what? She had done that very thing a few days earlier when she attended Kim Kardashian’s birthday party in Beverly Hills. No problemo flying out on a “school week” to L.A. to party, but if it’s a court appearance, that’s an undue hardship. But alas, all the stalling was for naught. Sigh.

Here’s how it stacks up: Junior is returning to the stand tomorrow, as is Eric. They are expected to paint themselves into an even worse corner than the ones they painted themselves into today and yesterday.

Then Daddy hits the stand on Monday. That ought to be something. If he can keep a civil tongue in his head and not be removed by the bailiff and thrown into a holding cell, it will be a miracle. Or, maybe that’s exactly what he intends to pull. If you’ve been following this trial, you know that Christopher Kise started theatrics today, and Alina Habba backed his play, when they both complained about the court clerk passing notes to the judge. It’s her job to communicate with the judge, but the two lawyers needed a diversionary tactic and so they created one.

But that was for naught, like Ivanka’s stalling. Friday, the prosecution will ask Eric Trump about taking the 5th 500 times during a deposition and that should be entertaining, if not enlightening.

Trump has already complained about how badly his progeny are being treated.

The man does not live in a “Billion Dollar house.” The King and Queen of England do, but not Donald Trump.

In any event, Trump takes the stand Monday, that should be something for the books. And then Princess Ivanka will be the last person to take the stand. Unless she flees the country, which is decidedly unlikely.

She did herself a disservice by trying so hard to avoid something matter of fact. If she had just taken the stand Friday, when she was called to do so, things would not be as problematic. She’s the architect of her own adversity, much as Daddy is.

So next Wednesday is the day. All scales will drop from peoples’ eyes. At least the people who believe Ivanka is some saint. It will be revealed exactly what her part in things in New York in the Trump Organization have been.

Good thing you’re making pals with society folk in Beverly Hills, Vanky, because I don’t think you’re going to be invited too many places in New York.

  1. I hope that the judge (s) who gave her the smack down on this latest feeble attempt to avoid this trial did so by smacking her upside the head with her kardashian party attendance.

BTW, and this might be a stupid thing to ask, but what is jar-jar doing? He can’t watch his own children?

  2. Isn’t announcing tat his worth is far greater than on financial disclosure an admission of perjury? And his lawyers are likely gobbling Maalox for their ulcers (aka Don the Con, Junior, and Eric the Awful).Just sayin’. Hell, at this point Trump.would be lucky to get The Situation from Jersey Shore as a public defender
