This was predictable, as are most things coming out of Trump world. The former guy just couldn’t wait to let everybody know what dear, close personal friends he was with the assassinated former prime minister of Japan. And he even had the gall to sign his missive, “President Donald J. Trump.”

Well, okay. In the dream world in which he dwells he is still president. And will always be president. In fact, I daresay that at the very end of his life, when he’s more of a mental vegetable than he is now and his nurse shuffles up to give him his last meds and his final Diet Coke before he goes on to the big golf course in the sky, she will address him as “Mr. President” as he shits the bed once more and glows with pride at the achievement.

“A true friend.” Trump’s never had a true friend, only transactional relationships.

Here are the two “friends.”

And then we get to Ivanka. She is taking this opportunity to crawl out of Twitter seclusion and insert herself into a top headline story as a player.

I’m sure Abe gave Ivanka lots of advice. I’ll bet he was a real mentor to her during her “government service.” What’s that you say? Is pocketing $640 million by exploiting the office of POTUS called government service these days? We guess. We used to call things like that overreaching, nepotism, larceny, fraud, many things. But we’ll call it “government service” from here on out, as we pray that nobody else but the Trumps ever decide to go into said brand of government service.

Here’s what that “government service” looked like.

Look at the expressions on Teresa May and Justin Trudeau’s faces. That says it all. And we’re not even going to get into what the Republicans would have said if Obama had brought one or both of his daughters into this scenario. I mean, I’m all for “take your daughter to work day” but this isn’t what that’s about.

And Ivanka doesn’t stop. Here she is with Abe, his wife, and her children.

She doesn’t care that the man is dead. She cares that this is an opportunity for a photo op and maybe a chance to rehabilitate her hopeless image.

Some government service. ivanka and Jared got $640,000,000 and then Jared went on to get another $2,000,000,000 from the Saudis for his investment fund. Man. Nice work if you can get it.

If you want to try and unpack this one, be my guest.

And this guy had to chime in, to try to stay relevant. And he’s calling the prime minister “Shinzo” without any kind of referent, like they’re old buds.

And here is Eric and he knows he’s being plotted against as well.

Another day with the Trumps, America’s favorite crime family and allies, endeavoring to stay relevant. Poor Shinzo Abe. This clan of buffoons even speaking his name, let alone declaring how close they were to the man, adds insult to the tragedy of his sudden death. If they had any real regard for the man they would keep their mouths shut. But you know that’s not going to happen.

    • The man was not a fool. None of the heads of state that this crowd met up with were fools. Even Boris Johnson knew who he was dealing with and Johnson had some self awareness about who he was and why he was where he was. Only the Trumps were living in their delusional bubble.

  1. That picture of her at the G-20 is I think the epitome of how perfectly appalling Ivanka was and is. I usually refer to her as Wannabe Princess Ivanka and that picture…There she sits in her god-knows-how-much-it-cost dress literally playing not just “government” but World Leader complete with a “LOOK AT ME EVERYBODY!!!!!” smile. It is vile and disgusting and that’s exactly the kind of shit that caused the U.N. General Assembly to literally LAUGH in her daddy’s face when he tried a line of his domestic schtick on them.

The damage they did to this country both at home and abroad will take generations to measure.

    • Ivanka is almost as big a joke as her father is. She really felt that she was there to influence world affairs and have a place at the table. She had done nothing to earn that place at the table, but she figured it was rightfully hers.

The one thing I can’t stand about any of the Trumps is that they don’t know how things work in the real world. That’s because they’ve never lived there.
