Trumpty Dumpty sent out his rallying cry a few weeks ago, “November 3 was the insurrection and January 6 was the protest.” Not surprisingly, that’s been picked up by none other than Josh Mandel.

I agree that J.D. Vance will jump on board soon. He seems to subscribe to the “there is no low they won’t go” philosophy of this iteration of the GOP. If power can be gained by dropping several notches lower, no problem, watch these people do it and gladly.

And don’t forget how the Trump family was finding all this very amusing back in the day, dancing in fact.

This is entertainment to the Trumps. The rest of us see this as a nightmare.

Democracy is hanging on by a thread right now and that thread is the January 6 Select Committee. All of the dirt is going to come out in the wash and hopefully some of these characters, if not all, will go down the drain come next election.

Just think about what’s happening in the GOP these days. There are candidates and incumbents who are telling the Big Lie. They know it’s the Big Lie. But they are hoping against hope that the people they are telling it to are so stupid that they believe them and vote for them. If we have ever been more lost in this country than now, I don’t know when that would be.

  1. Ursula, the Republiqanons don’t really have a choice. If they don’t follow the whims and diktats of TFG, they probably won’t even get to stand for re-eelction.

    • Yeah, they do. They always have. Look no further than Liz Cheney for proof of such. She’s willing to take a few years of pain so that her side of the political spectrum can rise later. They’re not and so they will pay. It’s just a question of us or their own people who do the deed.

      • Indeed. There are ALWAYS choices. These fools made theirs and it was against our democracy continuing. Standing on one’s principles used to mean something. There used to be republicans who did that.

  5. The constitution sure was violated: on January sixth. I’m not sure if rampant stupidity is a bar to serving in Congress but it damned sure should be. We’d be worrying less about the destruction of our democracy and spend that time figuring out how to solve the ACTUAL problems plaguing this nation. Shouldn’t we ADD an amendment, an IQ minimum qualification?

    • Sure, stupidity is an ingredient, but, let’s face the fact our culture has been a sick puppy from the jump. Genocide of native Americans, along with the land grab. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? Then the kidnapping & enslavement, & forced breeding that increased the RICH white folks property from 400,000 to millions of slaves. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? The establishment of the electoral college to appease these bastards which has allowed people to take office who lost the vote. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? The stolen presidency of Reagan making hostage, arms, & drug deals to, not only gain the office, but conduct a brutal genocide of peasants in El Salvador, Nicaragua, & Guatemala. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? NO. But no one went to jail, & the foot soliders, Barr & Kavanaugh go on to hold unbelievable power, & still do. Won’t bother with Nixon. Watergate is known, but what about the criminal, criminalizing millions through the LIES of scheduling cannabis as dangerously addictive, & having no medicinal use just to put activists during Vietnam in jail. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? The Sackler family lies about oxycontin & have killed hundreds of thousands of people, some will die today, but no one has gone to jail. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? Bush, Cheney, & Powell lied to topple sadaam hussein, destabilizing the middle east, making billions for friends & relatives, putting thousands of our boys in the ground. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? Trump knew of the virus November 2019, caught on tape February 2020, continued to lie, deny, deflect, & DO NOTHING to stop the spread,(to this very day), resulting in a MINIMUM of 720,000 deaths in less than two years. ALL LEGAL, RIGHT? Worked with our enemy to steal 2016. Tried to steal 2020. Set up, planned & implemented a VIOLENT OVERTHROW OF OUR GOVERNMENT. Still free to run for office. ALL LEGAL RIGHT? NO. But he’s not in jail as I type. Handing over the power to the richest to buy laws to increase the billions they already have. ALL LEGAL. RIGHT? I could go on but I don’t want to stir up the nice boys & girls who went to law school & their continuous defense of the LAW with an endless chorus of BUT BUT BUT BUT. STICK IT HYPOCRITES. This is one sick culture. The only justice I see is their fucking ship will go down when we shortly go extinct due to our acceptance of ALL THIS EVIL. Forgive me.   7. Don’t project your sanity, ability to reason and think critically on to these people. They are either literally and genuinely below average IQ or so desperate to believe that the fantasy of Trump being anything other than a complete and total nincompoop is actually real, that they will literally let themselves and their families DIE rather than allow reality into their lives for even a moment. Whenever you find yourself struggling to wrap your mind around how they are 100% vehemently opposed to something today, but tomorrow be 100% supportive of the same exact thing; about how any of them see Trumps constant whining and crying about how everyone is mean to him and it’s not fair as well as seeing his blatantly pathetic insecurities as strength rather than the cowardly weakness that it is….that’s you projecting your sanity, reasoning and critical thinking skills onto people who really….. well, these people really aren’t smart, they’re gullible and they and their families have been voting against their own best interests for generations. They are so dim that they post videos online of themselves acting like jackasses and see it as a victory for themselves and Trump. All the while further demonstrating to the rest of us that their sane family members, should they exist, probably should get court ordered executors to babysit them financially so they don’t end up living under a bridge after giving everything they own to Trump University.
