Actions speak louder than words. Harriet Hageman won the GOP primary in Wyoming last night, and by a very wide margin, 38% as calculated at this point. She beat Liz Cheney like a drum.
Cheney, for her part, did the obligatory concession phone call to Hageman and Hageman didn’t take it. Two possibilities come to mind here: One, Hageman is a classless broad, in which case she will fit in just fine with her compatriots, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert. Maybe they can all three get matching outfits and be backup singers to Matt Gaetz.
Or, there’s another theory, hear me out: Hageman may now be coping with the gravity of what she has actually done. Hageman didn’t like Trump initially. She was singing Lindsey Graham’s tune back in 2016. She was a Cruz supporter and wanted to force a vote between Cruz and Trump at the GOP convention. She described Trump as “racist and xenophobic.”
Then she drank the kool-aide and described Trump as the “best president” in her lifetime. Such is the price tag on MAGA success. You can have an endorsement from Trump, you may even win a primary, all for the low low price of your immortal soul.

I personally think Hageman didn’t take Cheney’s call last night because I think she was embarrassed on a certain level. She may have even been afraid to talk to Cheney because she knows Cheney is in the right and she, Hageman, is just the latest hire at the Trump circus, another animal in the Trump zoo.
Liz Cheney and her father represent the creme de la creme of the Wyoming GOP political scene. That has been the case for many years. Hageman knows that Trump is a liar and that Cheney is calling him on it. She may never admit to that publicly, but the entire GOP knows. And now she’s a part of the GOP that has decided to trade the truth for a chance to stay in power and live a lie along with the Father of All Lies, Trump.
Go back in history and check it out. Hageman was pretty much a rank and file GOPer. She favored Ted Cruz. She was not a firebrand, she was pretty much Republican standard issue. Now she’s being thrust into the limelight as the newest addition to MAGA crazy.
Also, Hageman is an attorney and she is now to be lumped with the two biggest idiots in the lower chamber of Congress, Boebert and Greene, the high school dropout and the rich dummy.
I hope that she finds it all worth it. Again, my take, and I could be dead wrong, is that she’s already wondering, “My God, what have I done?” Putting on the MAGA crazy mask for a few months to win a primary is one thing. Going to Congress wearing the mask and doing it for the next two years is something else altogether.
Call Lindsey, Harriet. That’s all we can say. He knows what it is to sell your soul to Donald Trump. For that matter, call Ted Cruz. Or best of all, call Elise Stefanik. She really knows what it is to have been once considered a shining light of the future of the GOP and then sell her soul.
Or, I could be wrong and Hageman really is a classless, clueless broad and she’s going to love joining the MAGA troll brigade and going on Fox News and Newsmax. Maybe that’s what we’ll see. Maybe Hageman will declare herself Ultra MAGA as Elise Stefanik did and ride off into the sunset, fulfilled, carrying that banner.
The only thing that’s certain is that this is going to be an interesting show to watch.

When Liz Cheney pulls her Julius Caesar routine in a few years, Hageman had best pray she doesn’t top the payback list.
Liz will not waste her time with the silly twat. After she’s done wiping the floor with former guy, I suspect her political ambitions will put her in position to go after a U.S. Senate seat or perhaps even higher.
I think you’re right. Cheney is very attached to the House. Her mother, Lynne, is an historian and if I’m not mistaken wrote about members of the House through the years, plus Daddy Dick started out in the House as well. But that was then and this is now. A senate seat may be in her future. Considering those two dogs Wyoming has for senators, Cheney would certainly be an improvement.

I saw a bit of the Wyoming debate a few weeks back and Hagemann and Bouchard looked like a couple of morons next to Cheney. Liz was the only one who could answer the questions knowledgeably and intelligently. The other two sounded like typical magat morons, just vomitting out the propaganda they’d been taught, too stupid to know the answers or even be able to pivot. Just dumb! You have to wonder, after a few years of watching what happens to otherwise capable people who sell their soul to tRump, why in God’s name are people still doing it? Nothing good is going to come from it. Oh sure, you get to have some power and an office for a couple of years (maybe), but is it worth trading away self-respect, self-esteem, having a future of any quality after tRump finally goes away, embarrassing your kids and family for all eternity, and finally, getting shafted by the guy you did this all for?
