What a world we live in, with AI and photoshopping changing reality every which way and you’re never quite sure what’s real and what’s fake at any given moment. The image above is the source of controversy today because it depicts a Donald Trump who is about 60 pounds lighter than the one that we normally see.

Complicating the situation is the fact that this photo was allegedly taken by an Associated Press photographer.

Needless to say, the right-wingers are jumping up and down with glee, because they believe that they now “own” the libs, who are dissolving in buckets of tears, purportedly, because their macho macho man is indeed so svelte and trim and square of jaw.

Here’s a screenshot of a photo of this event from the Waco Tribune.

This looks a bit paunchier, i.e., more realistic than the top photo.

And here’s another.

Again, the waistline doesn’t look uber svelte.

Who knows? The svelte photo looks fake, these look more realistic. The point made here is that the AP photographer either snuck in a fake photo, or hey, maybe he just got lucky. Maybe Trump was caught at an angle where he looked great and this is totally legit.

I have no idea. I’ve presented here what I’m able to find and if/when this story gets updated, you will be the first to know.

A related story is in Newsweek about the crowd at Waco. The venue was able to hold 15,000 people and an estimated 8,000 showed up. It’s also been documented that a large portion of the audience began leaving about half an hour.

  1. Not that he’s typically on time for his appearances at these things, but there was reporting some restlessness from the goobers not just about waiting past when he was supposed to speak but also literally having to watch is plane, the self-agrandizingly named “Trump Force One” circle the venue several times before finally landing and (like an asshole expelling a turd) disgorged Trump. But here’s the thing: they took video of the venue from the plane! It showed the stands weren’t full to begin with. But in a significant self-own Trump posted some of that video, which proves he didn’t have enough crowd to even fill the 15k seats!

  2. I suspect the top photo may have to do with the angle of the sunlight on his face, etc. Ask aging actresses, lighting makes all the difference.
