There is the New Normal, the New Abnormal, and the New Surreal. At least that’s what I’m calling it when we can have adult people on the airwaves, talking about the affairs of the moment, mentioning the names of heads of state, and in the year before a general election, talking a great deal about who’s running and who might beat whom. In a normal year this is interesting enough, to be sure: but in 2023, with the quadruple-indicted Donald Trump being positioned as the GOP frontrunner, we are at a juncture in history where we have never been.

And here is the lay of the land, make no mistake: Trump could conceivably get up and take the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States, IF enough people are insane enough to vote for him, and if No Labels succeeds in bleeding off enough votes from Joe Biden. Remember, 73 million people voted for Trump in 2020. And yes, thank God, 81 million voted for Joe Biden. That’s a decisive margin and the electoral college win was a good one — the same, ironically, that Trump characterized as a “landslide” when he won by it in 2016, as you may recall.
I quake thinking about 73 million people voting for that POS. I literally have tossed and turned at night unable to get that number out of my mind.
We are in treacherous waters here.
And bear another thought in mind; It’s the law of the jungle that a wounded animal is the most dangerous. The GOP is in desperate shape right now. They will say or do anything to try to hang onto what power they’ve got, or get more. And that’s where you see No Labels come in, masquerading as something that it is not.

And the people who get up and say that Trump should not be president, yes, Bill Barr, we’re talking about you, will vote for Trump. You know they will.
This is what we’re up against.
Hmmm…I just don’t remember, having studied the rise of Hitler, the conversion of Germany from an ‘enlightened’ country, and their descent into literal HELL, that many left the fold. Of course, they shot everyone who tried, so it’s hard to know the truth about the actual resistance. These phuckers are wolves in sheep’s clothing. What they’re doing is called jockeying for power. They are liars and hypocrites. THAT you can depend on.
Scott, I recommend Googling the “White Rose” resistance movement in Germany during the 3rd Reich. It’s fascinating and inspiring in itself and will lead you to other facets of the admittedly-weak underground movement against Hitler. They were weakened by being murdered outright or sent to concentration camps.
