Right now you couldn’t even pay me what Trump claims he’s worth to get me within a football field of him in each direction. I’ve spent nine long years paddling around in the fetid swamp of Traitor Tot’s brain, and it’s not a cheerful and sunny place in the best of circumstances.
Trump’s mind is a toxic stew of paranoia, greed, vengeance, sexism, Islamaphobia, racism, misogyny, and self entitlement. Trump’s entire ego shield is constructed on the image that he can do no wrong, he is an Aryan Superman, above the strictures of the rest of us mere mortals. And tonight, after standing cigar store Indian straight and hearing the word Guilty reverberating through the courtroom 34 times, Trump’s fevered mind right now must be nothing short of homicidal.
Oddly enough, Board Certified clinical psychologist and Trump cousin Mary Trump agrees with me. She said so on MSNBC tonight. But according to Mary Trump, we had all better strap in, because it’s only going to get worse.
Because right now, according to Mary Trump, who has likely had more personal contact and interaction with her uncle than any of his doctors, right now Traitor Tot is in a state of shock and denial. Trump’s entire ego shield is that not only is he above the rules that govern the rest of us, but he’s entitled to be above those rules. And the reading of those verdicts today almost literally put him in a clinical state of shock.
I won’t argue with Dr. Mary. I saw Traitor Tot’s whinefest today after the verdicts wre read, and it was pathetic. It was an almost robotic recitation of his bitches and kvetches of everything since the trial started. But it was delivered without passion or inflection, in a flat monotone, and when Trump was done, he simply turned from the microphones, shoulders slumped, and walked away.
But in a few days the shock will wear off, as shock always does, and that’s when it gets scary. because Trump is a totally transactional personality, and after five weeks of courtroom restrictions, his timoe still isn’t his own, he’s under court supervision. Which means that his rabid paranoia will have all the time in the world to take full flower.
You’ll know it when it happens. Bullsh*t Social will be the vanguard. Knowing His Lowness as I do, once his shock wears off, and his thirst for vengeance and retribution kicks in, he’ll forget the past. I predict that in the next few days, Trump will angrily take to BS to demand that the faithful take to the streets in massive protests to defend him. Ignoring the fact that he burned that bridge when thousands of his Trombies ended up convicted and serving time in federal prison for responding to his calls on January 6th. he’ll become more and more unhinged in every frantic BS post defending himself.
What fascinates and intrigues me is the potential for Trump’s shattered state of mind to totally f*ck himself at the Republican National Convention. How Does El Pendejo Presidente handle these convictions in his expected acceptance speech? After all, Trump will already have been sentenced by then. How does he respond when he’s allegedly trying to unite the party behind him, convictions or not?
My guess is not well. After all, the age old adage is that if you punch Trump, he pinches you back 10X harder. Believe it or not, national conventions still draw large television audiences, and not just for the show. There are persuadable voters out there that want to know what the party stands for. And what do you think they’ll think about a national candidate for President ranting and raving about how he’ll use his position and tame DOJ to extract bitter revenge on all of those that dared to convict him? And Trump won’t be able to restrain himself.
I like Judge Juan Merchan more and more every time I see him. Whether he decides at sentencing to sentence Trump to lockup for his direct contempt of court or not, Merchan has found a way, intentionally or not to get under Trump’s skin, and hit him where he lives. Merchan could have sentenced Trump on July 22nd, or July 28th, or August 2nd, but onstead Merchan is sentencing him on July 11th, four days before the convention, knowing the rage and shame will still be burning brightly in Trump’s fevered brain when he takes the stage. Life lesson Donnie. Don’t. F*ck. With. The. Judge.

Todd Blanche asked for sentencing mid to late July. Maybe he assumed that the Judge would sentence him after the convention. Nope. Careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
Elephant in the room for me (outside the US) is the first debate, which IIRC is scheduled BEFORE the sentencing hearing.

Excellent question! I too have been wondering about the first debate. Most probable take is that Trump will want to talk about nothing but the trial and verdict and will shoot himself in the foot with all the low-information voters who usually don’t pay any attention to campaigns until Labor Day. If Biden can “string two sentences together,” he should wipe the floor with Trump and get a boost in the polls. Fingers crossed!
Biden already showed us he can string two sentences together. Indeed, he can string a whole State of The Union Speech together. As long the mics are cutoff after each candiates’ designated time to respond expires Joe will win this debate. No more letting Trump shout and drown out his opponent.

When a malignant narcissist’s ego gets injured, they will seek revenge, and nothing is beyond their evil. We won a battle but the war rages on.
