That popping sound you hear is Mitch McConnell pulling the plug out of a jug of Kentucky bourbon before he pops a blood vessel and we don’t blame him. McConnell thought it would be great for a football hero to run in Georgia. He was all for Herschel Walker and now he’s got to be regretting that thought.

Walker was exposed by an AP article many months ago as someone with severe mental problems and a history of domestic abuse. That didn’t seem to dissuade GOP voters in Georgia. He won his primary handily.

The man is seriously ill. We laugh at him and he deserves it because he put himself in the public eye. But beyond that is the plain reality that he needs help. Whether he gets it is doubtful because wealthy people have their money to insulate them from reality. Walker lives in a realm of fantasy. If he was writing fiction, that would be fine. But he’s not. He’s running for the Senate with a head filled with delusion.

Playing chicken with a gun is pretty strange.

The GOP devolution continues downward. The MAGAs keep taking it down. And apparently the rest of the GOP is either fine with it or they are simply overwhelmed and like ostriches have stuck their heads in the sand, and they’re hoping everything bad will just go away.

Raphael Warnock had a ten point lead two weeks ago. Let us pray that holds and this man never gets anywhere near the Senate, except possibly as somebody’s guest.

    • This is plausible. Walker’s voices may have told him about those states, Cruztania and DeSantlantis. I see them myself because their legislators drop in for coffee every morning. They come through an interdimensional vortex in my closet. Sometimes they leave a tip (political or monetary.)

  1. Regarding that shirt, I suspect Walker wore it as an insult to Ali. Not that Walker wasn’t a great football player because he was. But he was never as great at his sport as Ali was at boxing. Nor did Walker ever achieve the worldwide iconic status Ali did – and still has.

Ali left behind the name of his birth. I truly believe wearing a shirt emblazoned with the name Cassius Clay was Walker’s way of trolling Ali. If Walker had done such a thing in Ali’s presence, even after his condition got so bad Ali still would have knocked Walker on his punk ass! And stood there as He did (captured in an iconic picture) over Sonny Liston demanding he get back up! At least Liston knew when his ass was whupped. I doubt Walker would have as much sense.

  2. Let us be honest here, the G.Q.P. is chock full of pols that are many, many bricks short of a load so mental issues are not exactly a road-block to getting elected. Domestic abuse is, horrifying to say, a badge of honor with these ass-holes.

We’ll see what younger voters have to say about the state of the ‘pube party because without their fervent participation in the mid-terms, we are totally f*cked and sideways at that.

  3. When I ran psychiatric assessments & admissions, it was understood if a person came into our doors, which automatically locked behind them, and they spouted delusions, they would be involuntarily committed. Period. Maybe someone should file a petition to the local magistrate of his county to have him committed as a danger to himself & others. I think they have a shot if the magistrate isn’t owned by the gop.

  4. I feel A LOT of MAGA’s could get themselves an involuntary hold if they spout their BS during an ER Dr’s ‘oriented to time & place’ evaluation with their ‘Trump is the real President BS’.
