Kevin McCarthy has a new headache in his caucus, one Randy Fine of Florida. The nation is reeling, once again, from another gun tragedy. Gun manufacturing stocks are soaring — once again — because after one of these debacles the “fear” of not being able to buy guns or ammos sends people scurrying out to do so. And I get that. Sometimes I think about buying another gun myself, (the one I had was stolen) so that I won’t be the only unarmed citizen in the entire country.
Sheer madness. Sheer, unadulterated madness. And along comes Randy Fine to pollute the political groundwaters even further.

There's nothing "thinly veiled" about it – that's an explicit threat to kill the President of The United States if (in the performance of his duties as President) he adopts policies that the person making the threat doesn't agree with.

I’ve been carefully trawling the internet to see if and when Leader McCarthy addresses this. My instincts tell me I’ll be doing it most of the day, but some reporter will corner McCarthy at some point.
The Republican party is out of control. As time goes on the more apparent it becomes that the GOP is a rudderless ghost ship, with nobody at the helm. It’s just filled with spooks and zombies who want to eat everybody. I don’t think that’s too colorful a metaphor. I sincerely see this comment by Rep. Fine as ghoulish, inappropriate, hostile, and needless to say, a disgrace to the office held by the person making it.
We’re watching the GOP run aground in real time. I don’t think that conservative principles are dead in this country, nor should they be, but the GOP doesn’t stand for conservatism anymore. It stands for extremism and wingnuttery.
Maybe Marjorie Taylor Greene is right. Maybe this is the base, the heart and soul of the GOP.
All I know is that I’ve never seen a member of Congress threaten a sitting president, let alone the day after a national tragedy.
Gods, what a gutless wonder. Not McCarthy, mind–he’s a proven coward–I’m talking about Fine. See, these people always call for certain things to happen that that they would never do themselves. Think the inverse of real life superhero President Zelenskyy for an accurate picture.
And when the grand plan goes out of control because of their words, they scream “victim!” and “Uncle!” because, you know, “I didn’t mean it like this!” Keep this example close with the others…use it as a reminder of what these people REALLY want.
McCarthy should tell that clown to don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. All seriousness aside. What is wrong with people. Do they all want to get blood on their hands. They are totally sick.
Representative Fine’s interpretation of the purpose of the Second Amendment is wrong – and PROVABLY wrong – not only by linguistic histir, but also by actual American court documents written far closer to eht Constitution than we are today. Yes, I realize, that gun nuts are just that – nuts – and therefore likely impervious to facts. But every Aerican who understands facts and truth should be, or be made aware of the facts of history surrounding the Second Amendment and gun ownership. Check this out:
