Grijalva Sworn In On 13th

There are deadlines in life for all of us. Bills come due, birth, death, everything has a time that is its time and nothing can be done to change it. For every season turn, turn, turn. That sense of fate and finality must be being felt by Mike Johnson today as it’s announced that newly elected Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva is finally done waiting and she will need to be sworn in on Wednesday the 13th (not your lucky number for sure, eh Mikey?) before the vote is taken on the government shutdown issue. She’s been waiting for seven long weeks and she’s finally getting what is due and owed to her. And reportedly, we will then get the same, i.e. the Epstein files.

Grijalva, 55, said she is “really upset” her first vote is “on a bill that does nothing for affordable health care for the American people.” However, attention surrounding Grijalva’s swearing-in is not about her stance on reopening the government, but is regarding the sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

A petition introduced by Republican Rep. Thomas Massie is a single signature away from forcing a vote on the release of new DOJ files on Epstein, and Grijalva has said she will sign it.

That will make Grijalva the 218th signature, triggering a floor vote in the House if no lawmakers back out of their signature.

Members who have signed the document are predominantly Democrats. However, a trio of GOP firebrands—Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Nancy Mace—have also joined Massie in demanding a vote on the files.

Are any of the “firebrands” going to back out to appease Trump? I don’t think Marge Greene will. She’s evidently not afraid to burn fences with Trump. Boebert and Mace are ass-kissers so yes, with the proper inducement from the powers that be, I think they can be persuaded to do anything at all that Trump asks.

Mike Johnson has said over and over that the delayed swearing in had nothing to do with the Epstein files but nobody believes him. So the long wait could be over — unless there are defectors. We’ve mentioned Boebert and Mace. They are dyed in the wool Trump sycophants but do even they want to be the non-stop source of criticism and bile for delaying the Epstein files revelation?

And don’t forget: Ghislaine Maxwell wants out and she’s being coddled right and left with specially cooked meals being delivered and even a puppy dog. That’s pretty good, being able to adopt a puppy in prison. She also gets private exercise time and it would not surprise me if she was drinking champagne and blowing rails of coke. At least if I was writing a screenplay about Maxwell’s *penance* that is how I would write it.

Maybe they’ve got a Persian rug on the floor and the bedsheets in her cell are ultra Turkish cotton with an incredible thread count? And she’s got find soaps and lotions and plush towels? Nothing would surprise me at this point, including if Maxwell gets to fly the coop and party outside the federal facility and then come back.

Point being, Maxwell is primed to do and say whatever in exchange for her release and from what we hear of how she’s getting waited on hand and foot, the release of the Epstein files (AND Maxwell’s two cents) are approaching fast.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a stormy night. And don’t think for a nanosecond that Donald Trump hasn’t had all the various angles of the Epstein files release gamed out in advance — not Trump personally, he doesn’t have the brain power for such a task, but somebody in his administration who can put it all together and do damage control has done just that.

The question we wrestle with, and yes it starts to go into conspiracy theory, is whether the Epstein files were tampered with and have now been gutted. Or, has the evidence been preserved and this is going to be the revelation that we’ve all been waiting for?

Bear in mind, if the Epstein files were bolluxed up and useless, then why would Johnson have done everything in his power to delay?
