The Furkids are very tuned into weather and seasonal change. This past week they celebrated the first of two Equinoxes for 2024. The word derives from Latin: ‘equi’ (equal) + ‘nox’ (night) because it’s the time of year when the sun is directly above the Equator at noon so day and night are of equal duration.

The Vernal Equinox (Spring) and Autumnal Equinox (Autumn) occur at the same time but in different hemispheres. March is when the Northern Hemisphere transitions to Spring and the Southern Hemisphere welcomes the cooler temperatures of Autumn. It’s a time when gardeners in both hemispheres are looking forward to Spring/Autumn plantings so, the Furkids reasoned, what better way to celebrate the Equinoxes than with their best gardening tips for extra special gardens!

Furkids love the frothy milkshakes at ko-fi.com/furkids. They want you to know they love licking up their frothy moustaches! You can treat them to their favourite frothies for $3/€3/£3. All proceeds go towards Loula’s healthcare and the second-hand desk fund. The new computer is up and running – yay!  Our heartfelt thanks to all contributors. 💝 💖 💝

  1. My guys would love to be out in the garden with the Furkids. If I still had one. {{{Michelle}}} Healing Energy to you & skritches to the Furkids.

  2. I had no idea that tigers would sit in water. Do they actually do that, or somebody photoshopped that? Learn something new every day.
