The Furkids and I weren’t aware of the official name of this song until we went looking for it. We just know it as Feeling Groovy and that’s the feeling they wanted for this weekend.
It was actually their Auntie Marti – aka MarTiger – who gets the credit for this one. She mentioned ‘groovy’ in a recent tweet and I asked the Furkids team if they knew the word. The older ones remembered it – the elephants in particular as they started swaying in time to the music captured in their memories. Then, as so often happens on these occasions, all the young ones, who loved the sound of the word – wanted to hear the song their neliphants remembered. It was love at first listen!
So here we are with a jukebox primed with 1960s coins (no idea where they got these but I apologise if any are missing from your coin collections). Just press play then scroll down to the illustrated lyrics and sing along!
