It’s been a very difficult year for Politizoom and its Owner-Editor, Ursula Faw. Now that our beloved Ursula faces health challenges too, the Furkids unanimously agreed to play her favourite song this week to cheer her up.
It’s a song that illustrates a core principle of Furkid beliefs, embedded in their souls. You see, they are completely mystified by this weird hoomin craze of partitioning their species into subsets based on birthplace, gender and colour. Colour? Seriously? Furkids are far more diversely coloured than hoomins, and they find it absolutely baffling to discriminate on such an inconsequential characteristic. They consider all genders and gender leanings to be as the Universe intended, and birthplace is merely incidental, not consequential. When it comes to emotional bonds, physicality is irrelevant to them – and that includes breed and species – because they know love is the magic that unifies all differences.

Oh, Michelle, where do you get these onions? *smiles* I think this is the third or fourth week in a row I’ve cried over Furkids. I’m having a bit of a rough time, so seeing them has helped me let it out a bit and helps me keep going.
Also, I adore capybaras. They are everyone’s friend. I even have a stuffed toy capybara. And for sheer silliness, I want a hedgehog. But we have cats, so finding a place to keep them safe would be a challenge.
