The furbabies, or ‘littlies’ as we like to call them, love it when there’s a full moon because they’re allowed to stay up a little longer to see it. A quick check of the Moon Calendar affirmed that the Harvest Moon would rise on (yes, each full moon has its own name) September 17. That’s only three days away and time passes quickly when you’re having fun with the Furkids!
There was no argument over which song they wanted for the occasion: Neil Young’s Harvest Moon was an easy choice this week!
The coins – yes, more chocolate coins, this time from Mother’s Day (no, I don’t know why they had chocolate coins for Mama’s Day) are now in the jukebox so it’s all ready to go. Just press play then scroll down. The guitar intro is first, followed by the lyrics so you can sing along with Neil!
Furkids love the frothy milkshakes at ko-fi.com/furkids. They want you to know they love licking up their frothy moustaches. You can treat them to their favourite frothies for $3/€3/£3. All proceeds go towards Loula’s healthcare (her annual vaccination has been delayed until this month because other pressing bills and life’s little chicanes pushed it forward – I’m hoping to get an appointment for next week) — our heartfelt thanks to all contributors.
Thank you Michelle! Excellent as always!
Thank you, Spike – you say the sweetest things! 💕
The white owl in front of the harvest moon is an amazing image.
Thank you! My current project also involves crafting original images – I’m creating a Furkids Tarot deck! It’s slow-going but I’m aiming to finish it early next year. Of course the completed deck will be unveiled here first!
Oops! I thought at first you meant “Shine On, Harvest Moon” the Tin-Pan Alley/ragtime classic, but I like this song, too! I agree with Ursula about the owl in flight. I think all your owls today are stunning and I especially loved the blue-eyed owl. I was disheartened to learn there’s no such thing, but I can still like the photoshopped fake!🥰🦉
Yes, that one is photoshopped but it is beautiful.
