The Furkids are sooper-cited about Valentine’s Week, which, they stressed, is seven times better than Valentine’s Day! They asked for The Bunny Song to celebrate it. Uh-huh. The Bunny Song. Happily, it didn’t take as long as The Vet Song before I figured out which song they wanted and listened to the lyrics. It came as no surprise to find that, according to the Furkids, Dean Martin had muddled up the words. No problem, they said, they’d make the corrections.

But then they complained that Mr Martin had left out an entire verse so the orchestra could have the spotlight for a bit. It was a nice thing to do for the orchestra, they said, but they wanted to put the missing verse back in. They couldn’t remember all the words to it but purromised they’d work on it.

They gave me their version of the lyrics the next day and, as I read it, I began to suspect they’d made it up overnight. See what you think.

We have plenty of coins for the jukebox, so it’s all set. Just press play, scroll down to the lyrics and sing along. Don’t forget the Furkids have written extra lyrics for the instrumental section – when you get to it, just keep singing!

Loula has another vet visit in three weeks, and we’re saving up for it. All proceeds from ko-fi.com/furkids will go towards the bill. All contributors and well-wishers have our heartfelt gratitude with loads of purrs and kitty kisses. We love you. 💝 💖 💝

  1. Okay, the Coda kicked me, because, well, without saying too much, that’s something to remember.

And I thought you were using the Queen song Somebody To Love and laughed like a loon when I saw the actual song! 🙂

    • It’s an oldie but a goodie!
Actually, I hadn’t considered the Queen song… hmmm, definitely one to add to the panoply!
      PS
The Coda had the same effect on me. I looked for other ideas but kept coming back to this one. Evidently, it was the one I was meant to use.
