It’s been a nightmare week, from joy and great expectations to hellscape in one bruising blow. Thank Goodness we have the Furkids. They are here to comfort us, to remind us that love not only survives but flows around us in an embrace to cushion the blow. This is the Furkids’ promise to you.

The jukebox is set and ready. Just press play and scroll down to the illustrated lyrics.

Furkids love the frothy milkshakes at ko-fi.com/furkids. They want you to know they love licking up their frothy moustaches. You can treat them to their favourite frothies for $3/€3/£3. All proceeds go towards Loula’s healthcare — our heartfelt thanks to all contributors. 💝 💖 💝

  1. 🧘‍♀️🌈😻 Oh, lordy, Michelle, you have once again lifted my soul when it was most needed! Excellent music choice and some of the best photos ever! My thanks!! 🥰🤩

  2. This is a masterpiece, Mopsy. One of your best. I love that photo of the two dogs, one has a tube attached to him and the other doggy is comforting him. That is soooooo touching. All the photos are great.

This piece is now tied with Two Different Worlds for my favorite piece of all your work. And Time Warp is also a perennial favorite of mine, and you did that last week.

Thank you again. We’re all terribly upset, whatever joy and connection with the spiritual that we can find right now is truly a gift. Nature is perfect, it’s only man that has the capacity to create evil.

    • Three of the photos were taken at veterinary hospitals where emotional support animals are permanent residents there to comfort patients. They are often strays who are brought in for treatment and then kept on because of their natural compassion towards other patients.
They have the same empathetic intuition for us when we’re upset. Loula has stayed very close to me. Even though it’s too warm now for her to snuggle against me at sleep times, she extends a paw to touch me, to keep that contact close. She also eats beside me at the table these days and that’s a very recent arrangement. I’d be a complete soggy mess without her by my side.
Hugs to you, Ursula, dear friend. 🤗💖🐾💖🤗
