The Furkids team have been looking forward to the Autumnal Equinox because they’ve had quite enough of Summer. They like the idea of cosying up on warm laps and in warm beds, sleeping in and watching the changing outdoor weather from the comfort of the warm and dry indoors.
The glorious magic fingers of Roger Williams usher in their favourite Autumn anthem. Although this is entirely an instrumental recording of the song, the melody — played at first by the orchestra then later taken up by the piano — is easy to follow and the team is confident new followers will manage very well! Regulars will perhaps remember this song from last year or the year before. (This really is their very favourite Autumn song.)
We thank TeeJay for giving us permission to use a still from her beautiful “Blue” video as the featured image for our column this week.
They found some loose change down the backs of their favourite chairs so the jukebox is primed and ready. Just press play, scroll down through the illustrated lyrics and sing along!
Furkids love the frothy milkshakes at ko-fi.com/furkids. They want you to know they love licking up their frothy moustaches. You can treat them to their favourite frothies for $3/€3/£3. All proceeds go towards Loula’s healthcare — our heartfelt thanks to all contributors.
Thank you Michelle! Excellent and needed as always. That very first pic/painting-that’s where I want to be right now. Those darned PCH folks sure are taking their time about awarding me that prize money for life. lol
When they finally get around to awarding you that money, come and visit me and Loula sometime! We’d love to meet you in person.
{{{Michelle}}} Totally lovely – and fun, of course. Healing Energy & lots of {{{HUGS}}} to you and the Furkids/Ms. Loula.
I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been locked out of Twitter since Sunday last week and I’m still trying to get access to my account. I’ve been missing everyone, especially you. 💖💕💖
Ooh! Roger Williams is one of my favorite ivory-ticklers! That song is so poignant…it grabs my heart with both the beauty of season and the loneliness of loss. But hoo boy, you really snapped me out of it with that hilarious CODA! 🤣👏💯
I adore Roger Williams too. You will definitely be hearing more of him.
I’ve had that particular CODA in my file for a while – I knew there’d be a right time for it! 🤣
