A week or so ago, I was listening with rapt attention to Noel Casler in conversation with legendary bass guitarist Leland Sklar. Noel encouraged everyone to listen to Lee’s music and of course, the Furkids decided his request included them. So I googled Lee’s music – WOW! He has contributed to over 2000 albums, toured with major rock and pop acts, and recorded soundtracks to films and television shows!

Among his body of work was Linda Ronstadt’s compilation album Duets and among the songs was “Don’t Know Much” with Aaron Neville. The Furkids fell instantly in love with the song so guess what we have for you this week!

Note: Changes to the lyrics are intentional and reflect the Furkids’ interpretation of the song.

  1. {{{Michelle}}} Lovely song. Lovelier illustrations. You and the Furkids are aces, as usual. Skritches to Ms. Loula. Healing Energy and moar {{{HUGS}}} to you.

    • It is a lovely song and it was years since I’d heard it so I’m grateful to Noel for prompting me to look.
      Moar hugs ???Barb???
      and scritches to
      ??Charlie ? Cloud ? Freddie ? Bobbie ? Murf ? Rennie ??

  2. So beautiful to hear and see! Forever grateful to the many musicians who have enriched our lives??????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  3. I had to watch the video, which brought me to tears. A long time Linda Ronstadt fan, heartbroken that because of Parkinson’s we’ve lost her amazing voice and talent. A word to all, if you haven’t watched ‘The Sound of My Voice’, please do. It’s quite moving. Another sweet duet was ‘Somewhere Out There’ with James Ingram. Thanks for this, Michelle.

    • Thank you for the recommendation. For those who want to want to see the documentary, it’s on YouTube. Just google  Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice.

The Furkids will add your mention of that second beautiful duet to their request list. It may take a little time to put together but watch out for it this year.

  4. This may be one of the best ones yet – I laughed and I cried. Aren’t we blessed to have these animals (plus a kind, innovative soul to find the photos and set them to music!) to help restore our sense of perspective in the world….and to give us hope for a better tomorrow.

  5. Oh Michelle, I am totally in tears since the first line brought this rendition back to me. It is so a song about me and that man of men, my husband Eric. He is my life, my heart. And this song is just…

Definitely one of, if not your best ((((((((()))))))))
Love to you and all furkids,
    Kay

  6. I can only echo the sentiments others have expressed. This brought tears to my eyes and moved me so much, as your creations always do. I used to say that this (whichever one I had just read and listened to) was your best, but I can’t really say that anymore. They are all the best!! Once again, I thank you for giving us the precious gifts of your creation. And thanks to the furkids too – can’t leave them out!
