It’s Sunday so the furkids are resting up for the week ahead. It’s going to be a busy one, they tell me, so rests, naps, snoozes and sleeps are essential preparation. Here’s what they’ll be cramming into each very busy weekday.

  1. OMG, some amazing photos, especially the owl in flight! The cat with its face in the red flower (lily?) is terrifying. Lilies are deadly poison for cats, in particular their pollen. While I love lilies, I won’t have them in my house. Furkids first.

    • I don’t think those are lilies. Lilies have a horrible odour that keeps cats away from their immediate vicinity. These look like Mandevilla flowers; they are not toxic to pets.

  2. {{{Michelle}}} Definitely a busy week for da furkids. My personal furkids are usually more laid back. Once breakfast (mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, supper, dessert, bed-time snack) is done, it’s either squirrel-watching time or nap time. LOL. moar {{{HUGS}}}

    • I was going to send you a link tomorrow so you’d be back to the schedule you’re used to but you beat me to it! {{{HUGS}}}

      • And I’m here for the schedule I’m used to anyway. Something about doing something at the same time on the same day of the week for 5 years just kind of stays with you. LOL. Your diaries are always wonderful and equally wonderful to reread. Skritches to Ms. Loula & {{{Michelle}}}

  3. Hey Michelle, this is Teri, Murf’s Wife. I love all the pic’s and the way you are with words.
    Our furbabies, especially Samwise, He’ll wake me up at 5:30 am for his soft food. When I don’t have to go to work, I push him off. He’ll put his paw on my head, wanna be Russian, his claws don’t retract, and catch my scalp. As for Chicago, she hops on Murf’s hip for a nap of her own. When I get up, Sam’s talkin’ to me about food. So, they both get soft food in the morning, then around 3pm, they get their “nummers”. Chicago will have some sometimes, but she has to watch her kittenich figure. She’s 7. Samwise is 6. Gotta love em’.

    • Hi Teri! How lovely to meet you at last! It’s a delight to hear about Samwise and Chicago too – love their names!
      Chicago sounds like the gentler of the two. Loula is like Samwise and thinks nothing of waking me up at some dog-awful hour for breakfast! I’m trying to get her into some kind of routine because it’s becoming ridiculous! I think she’s just out of sorts because the weather is so hot and we’ve had such a lot of rain that she can’t get outside as often as she’d like to. I know how she feels. I’m hoping we get some cooler weather soon. It will be the opposite for you, of course. You’ll be looking forward to some warmer weather!
