The Furkids team was very sad to hear the news Friday of the passing of their friend, Bo Obama, who shared First Dog status with Sunny during the Obama Presidency. As a tribute, the furkids decided they would choose a song about lost friends, lost toys and treats.
I told them I didn’t know of such a song but it turns out I do. According to the Furkids team, “Livin’ Thing” by ELO is the song they had in mind. I agreed to it out of sheer curiosity – I wanted to see how lost toys and yummy food fit into their concept of the lyrics. It’s always fascinating to get a glimpse of the world through their eyes.
A lovely man called Jeff – much admired by the furkids because of his abundance of curly hair – gave us coins for the jukebox this week so it’s primed and ready to go. Just press play, scroll down and sing along.

I was originally thinking of “Don’t Bring Me Down” for Liz Cheney but a tribute to beautiful Bo took precedence.
However, I’m sure they’ll get around to another ELO sometime in the future. Meanwhile, they have a stack of songs for me to work on – with their guidance of course (because apparently hoomins are not very good with lyrics and they have to keep correcting the songwriters/singers).
