Jennifer Rubin put a column up a short while ago wherein she notes that Donald Trump tried to fire Robert Mueller and the GOP did nothing. Then he tried to extort the president of Ukraine to create dirt against Joe Biden and the GOP did nothing. Now we find out that Trump has threatened the secretary of state of Georgia, suggesting that if he doesn’t “find” thousands of ballots that he would be subject to some form of criminal liability. Is the GOP going to do something? Probably not. But maybe Brad Raffensperger will.
A five minute clip of this Bizarro World conversation was released earlier today and now the entire audio is available. My recommendation is that you take it in pieces, just like the Facebook diatribe that went on for over forty minutes and didn’t say a single new thing. Listening to Donald Trump for an hour is along the lines of cruel and unusual punishment. It’s definitely not an endeavor to be entered into lightly. But if you’re game, here it is.

I want to know who did the recording and why. Not that we neccesarily owe them a thank you card but there are no shortage of motives for someone would reveal Trump like this at this point.
It has been widely reported that Raffensberger sat with his lawyer for the whole conversation, and it’s fairly clear that Raffensberger ‘acted on legal advice from his lawyer’ Ryan Germany, (who Trump also spoke to directly during the call.)

After the last month’s shenanigans, Raffensberger made the right call by getting his attorney involved. He KNEW he’d be pressured to commit crimes sooner or later and he wanted to be ready.
Raffensperger didn’t want it released until Trmp attacked him.
Wouldn’t be surprised 45 released the tape thinking it worked for him.

Nothing needs to be done. Bill Palmer pointed out yesterday that his circle of abuse is shrinking. First, he took out his loss on all us voters. Then he took it out on Republicans. Now he’s doing it to himself.
Forget about another impeachment or censure. The DOJ under Biden needs to hit the ground running and build criminal cases against Trump and all of his cohorts. Any leniency toward these MF’s will only encourage more crime and corruption.
