One of my favorite aspects of social media is that at any time of the day or night folks will respond, especially if Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, or any of the other GOP nudnicks say or do something racist, homophobic, and/or stupid, those fine folks on the social media will let them know. Lately, Fox News has been hit with another round of stupid people, and one of them’s even a board-certified M.D. But then Ben Carson is a neurosurgeon and yet he also managed to be stupid at the same time.
This time, we have another doctor with dumb ideas. And her name is Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, who is a contributor to Fox News.
Why how appropriate?
She popped up Monday on an episode of Fox News Outnumbered, where she assured her colleague Kennedy that former President Donald Trump could indeed, “be president from jail if he has to,” Mediaite reported. Kennedy had asked how an indictment could affect the former president’s chances in 2024.
Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro was also on hand and he criticized the suggestion that “a lot of the voters want to get past the drama” Trump always seems to have attached to his shoe and “just want to go on to a candidate that they feel comfortable with.”
He said, “I think that’s a misconception. I think that a lot of Republican, especially primary voters, are reacting to the drama and saying, These prosecutions are selective, this Colorado nonsense should stand, it’s splitting the country, and I’m going for him.'”
Are these Republicans in a coma or something? I have to wonder.
But the fact is, whether these people like it or not, is that it isn’t clear at this point whether Trump can become president again if he’s convicted because he’s setting a historic precedent in the country’s campaign history, Raw Story notes.
But at one point, Kennedy asked, “What happens if he is indicted at some point?” That’s when Nesheiwat jumped in, “He can be president from jail if he has to. But I think to your point, Paul, despite all the threats, despite all the charges, Republicans are still rallying around Donald Trump.”
“They [democrats] stoop so low out of fear and desperation because they have no other choice, they have no other nominee other than biden, they know that he’s going to end up being the nominee. they’re taking all these actions, look at the fbi raid in mar-a-lago, trying to kick him off the colorado ballot, you know, these frivolous charges by our district attorney here in new york and in georgia, but i think it comes down, yes, in two weeks, the iowa caucus.”
Really? Election fraud and business fraud are “frivolous?” Trying to divert a lawfully decided election and inflate your business earnings by millions (and maybe billions) of dollars is “frivolous?”
I thought doctors were supposed to be smart. Maybe Neshiewat is, but common sense is obviously NOT her strong suit.
Social media users didn’t think it was either.
I’ve included a clip of this nonsense below.
They wanted to “lock up” Hillary over some emails, but Trump can be “President from jail if he has to.”
That’s how you know it’s a cult. https://t.co/tsNzsW0JuV— Jo (@JoJoFromJerz) January 1, 2024
President from jail? What kind of adult thinks a president can lead a country from within a jail cell??

This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so incredibly stupid. It would make for some interesting state dinners in the prison cafeteria. And, how would Trump be able to run to his bunker when he feels the urge to “inspect” it?

Does she really think he can be president from jail?🙄 How about reviewing classified documents for starters? Will the prison have a situation room? There aren't enough characters to keep going.

It just doesn’t matter how stupid any republican is at any time.
There’ll be another one being even more stupid in a minute.
What’s that Mark Twain quote? Oh yeah: “It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”
Hmmm… I think that might be a corollary to one of Murphy’s Laws….
“Why can’t I gave the Resolute desk in my cell????”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It again shows the assumptions we make by thinking because someone is good at focusing on a narrow path like medical or law school, where the rules are set, and the knowledge is narrow, they are well informed, moral, and good at critical thinking. WRONG. This idiot shows how false that is.
Exactly. I wasn’t really aware of that until Ben Carson came along. The man has a surgical procedure named for him, but you wouldn’t know that if you listened to him.
Dear Fox contributors:
It isn’t a matter of “if he is indicted.” That shoe has dropped from the top of the Empire State building 91 times. I suspect you meant to say “convicted ,” but the simple fact that you got that wrong means you shouldn’t be commenting on legal issues.
Do try hiring someone who knows the difference. Surely you can find some shyster who does?
