Anyone who has had the good fortune to be a parent around a grade school in the last 20 years knows that kids are no longer “sad.” For reasons passing understanding, kids now have a sad. Cute, yes. Less personal, too. More transactional, passing. So it is without much grief that one can take note of the fact that Fox News has a major sad over the Trump-Musk debacle, you know – the one we all saw coming but very few had an “Epstein” reference floating in their magic ball. Billionaires would do well to keep mention of Epstein to a minimum because God only knows where that will all lead. Still, Fox News’s Will Cain today laid out the problems now befalling both Trump and Musk as the two descend into billionaire hell.
Cain shed a few tears, saying that this wasn’t how it was supposed to go, though everyone else saw this coming, at least to a degree. On air, Cain said:
“Elon writes, ‘Time to drop the really big bomb. Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT.’ Seems a rubicon that Elon Musk has crossed that it appears it’s hard to see a path forward for these two to repair their relationship.
Relationships do not get “repaired” after dropping the Epstein thing. But we are talking about the world’s richest guy and the world’s only “President of the United States,” and so the relationship can always be repurchased, sold off for parts, something fungible can bring it back around. It will be more expensive than previously contemplated, though. And there is no rule that says this relationship must ever be re-consumated, so to speak. To go on with our Fox News lament:
This is not a story that anyone was looking for — perhaps somewhat predictable with two big personalities — but not a story that we wanted today for America. It’s too soon to tell how far this will go, but House Speaker Mike Johnson thinks he can still get Elon back on board the big beautiful bill.”
A BIG, UGLY BATTLE

“Somewhat predictable”? How about guaran-fcking-teed to anyone watching with any sort of dispassionate discernment. We all took it as a given, though – again, the Epstein thing gives it some panache that few banked on. Speaking of which, Musk may be the only person with enough “bank” such that anything can be fixed, whether it is Trump, MAGA, or Fox News – all are still on the table, even after Epstein.
Learn, kidz, billions of dollars keep billions of doors open.
Remember, too – Trump has a very short memory, which is incredibly convenient and economical. He will stick to his guns right up until you buy those guns off his hands. So as certain as all this is and remains, one thing is just as predictable. Musk won’t find a home in liberal America any time soon. And he now craves power. That means only one thing. Musk will face a choice – remain irrelevant, or buy his way back into someone’s good graces, whether it is Trump, MAGA (Not necessarily overlapping, especially post-2026), or Fox News.
The popcorn thing has been played into the ground. So just keep your phones at the ready, This thing won’t stand still – that, too – is a certainty.

Zoomers, we are always in need of donations. It’s been an especially rough month, and my own health has not been great these past few weeks, which just adds to the frustration. Anything you can spare will be immensely appreciated. And thank you to all who have donated generously already. Ursula

Well, we’ll know the “feud” has really peaked if/when the Muskrat decides to ban Drumpf from “The Platform Formerly Known As Twitter” and bans any and all individuals from reposting any of Drumpf’s “Lying Sociopath” posts.
To be, or not to be: that is the question: whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles,………………. ’tis a consummation devoutly to be wish’d.
Should Fox head hunt this Shakespeare guy?
