I sincerely thought that this was going to be another photo shopped missive, but no, I was wrong. I went over to Truth Social and there it is, larger than life.

Donald Trump has an obsession with the Royals. A lot of people do. If this is new information to you, he used to send Lady Diana plenty of flowers after she separated from Prince Charles.

Lady Diana declined to date Trump, gee what a surprise, and he didn’t get to attend Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, although he was invited to a memorial this Wednesday in the National Cathedral in D.C. Meanwhile, here is his usual tasteless commentary, slamming the sitting President of the United States for circumstances beyond everyone’s control. The seating issue arose from a security concern, not from status, but Trump is spinning it his way.

That’s the realtor from Queens talking. If you want to know what the rest of the civilized world says about it, the Bidens were unavoidably detained and arrived later than expected at the service. Guardian:

He may be the world’s most powerful man but the apparent late arrival of the US president, Joe Biden, and his wife, Jill, was not allowed to disrupt the finely tuned choreography of the late Queen’s funeral.

Rather than being ushered immediately to their seats on their arrival at Westminster Abbey, the first couple, aged 79 and 71, had to be gently told they would need to stand and wait as a procession of George and Victoria Cross-holders went ahead of them down the nave of the abbey.

After an awkward period of small talk at the main entrance, as those awarded the highest decorations of military valour went ahead, the Bidens finally followed in the wake of Victoria Cross-holder CSgt Johnson Beharry, pushing the wheelchair of Keith Payne VC, 89.

The US president had been given a dispensation to make his journey to the abbey in “the Beast”, a heavily armoured limousine used by US presidents for security reasons, rather than be bussed to the abbey with the other heads of state and government. […]

Perhaps as a consequence of opting out of the buses taking other leaders from the assembly point at Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Bidens were also given seats 14 rows back in the south transept of the abbey.

And of course it would have been different for Donald, had he been prez, or had they just invited him anyway, prez or not prez.

We know that Trump has zero class, but is it possible to have minus zero class? I never even pondered that until today. This is so tasteless that it begged the question.

It’s all about status for Trump. There is no thought that this is an international event, thousands of people are involved, everyone is doing their best to deal with diplomatic issues, time constraints, any number of details. No, Trump sees what he wants to see and disregards the rest, as the song lyric goes.

  1. Actually, it’s “Still a man hear what he wants to hear and disregards the rest” but I’m sure he’s just as good as seeing what he wants to see, and if he doesn’t, well he seems to make up shit.

  2. Does Diapers realize actually being invited is necessary to get better seating? I have a feeling that even if we had the misfortune of the fool actually winning the election in 2020, he would not have been invited. Probably would have been worth it to the monarchy to not invite any world leaders just to keep this mango monstrosity away.

What a loser. Seriously, has Diapers succeeded in anything other than cheating his way through everything? Oh, and at being an ass?

  3. We see the difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. You damn well know that if Trump had been forced to wait, he would’ve definitely disrupted “the finely tuned choreography of the late queen’s funeral” because he would’ve been raging and screaming and shouting at the “unfairness” and the “disrespect” being shown him.
President Biden, on the other hand, was willing to accept “commoner” treatment without any problem.

  4. Why am I not surprised at his attitude? After all, hasn’t he been known to just shove his way through to the front at any international meeting?

  5. iHad to love the seating arrangement in the D cathedral for the televised memorial service. Must have killed the Dumpf’s soulless soul to have to sit next to the Obamas, At least he had Melania as a cushion between them. And looks like the Bushes II were missing, so the dumpf was the only rethug on the bench.
