Isn’t it convenient how a *news story* has just broken today about jury misconduct? Because today is June 7. On July 11, convicted felon Donald Trump will be sentenced. But there happens to be a law on the books which states that, “When a defendant who has been convicted by a jury but has not yet been sentenced learns of alleged jury misconduct, he can move to set aside the verdict under New York criminal procedure law. If a defendant can prove that jury misconduct ‘may have affected a substantial right of the defendant,’ the remedy is a new trial,” according to NBC News.
We’re about a month out from the sentencing so *if* a revelation of jury misconduct would surface now in the People v. Donald J. Trump matter that was decided May 30, it would surely be quite a timely boon to the defendant, would it not? And guess what — why it seems like that very thing has just fallen into our laps. Isn’t that the damnedest thing?
This is the journalist Jonathan Turley says deserves a Pulitzer Prize:z

And it gets curiouser and curiouser.
Merchan said that the comment, which was attributed to a user identified as Michael Anderson, was “now labeled as one week old,” and was posted in response to a routine notice from the court posted on May 29 about oral arguments unrelated to proceedings in Trump’s case.
Not any shitposter, but a PROFESSIONAL SHITPOSTER… pic.twitter.com/X7H5nCE5UI

If I was going to put two and two together, I would have concluded that Anderson decided to troll on Facebook, which is what I presume a professional shitposter does. But this *journalist* at the New York Post has now decided that this is something worth looking at because it could give Trump exactly what he wants, which is a new trial.
And evidently Fox News is seeing this closer to the way that I am than to the *journalist’s* point of view, because they are quite reluctant to jump on board this train.
Putting it off til Monday….some damage done, but they'll have new bs by then. Really good job heading it off.

I don’t see this flying a tall a tall, but I could be mistaken. Well do I remember sitting here with my jaw open when the stolen election drivel and the alternate electors plot was being pushed. And apparently somebody at Fox remembers that $787M blunder, or they might have picked up this ball and ran right down the field with it, rather than passing it off until Monday.
What’s going to happen Monday? They’ll have had a chance to consult with writers of science fiction and fantasy to see if a plausible scenario can be concocted? Maybe they need Hammer & Scorecard to figure this one out, or an Italian satellite?
I don’t know how shitposting on Facebook (or anywhere else) works, but I can tell you that if somebody puts up a video, for example, on Twitter and it goes viral, there’s some money to be made in that. And that’s granting arguendo that it’s not a copyright violation and is in fact a legitimate product made by the person (shit)posting it. So I think that’s how this “profession” of shitposting works.
And maybe this guy has had a good track record of putting up enough trolling comments and getting enough attention to where he’s pocketed a little change. I also call your attention to the mess Facebook got into when they had Russian trolls on its platform pretending to be the neighbors in 2016 and shitposting about Hillary.
So, for a number of reasons, including the facts that, “NBC News has not verified the claims made in the comment or the identity of the user who published the post, which has since been deleted. NBC News also hasn’t independently confirmed the comment’s existence,” my spidey sense says that this won’t even be remembered on Monday.
Fox News will do bupkis — unless of course, they can figure out a way to create a trail of breadcrumbs that looks plausible. I put nothing past anybody in right-wing media at this moment. But I think the odds are much higher that you have already learned everything you never wanted to know about the shitposter who attempted to get Trump’s trial vacated today.

Wow. They really are desperate now aren’t they?
But unfortunately for them the verdict is well decided, air-tight, and probably un-appealable.
He’s going to be punished.
Lock him up!
Since I wrote this piece, Hannity has come on. And he’s running with it. Deer Gawd. It’s entertainment. That’s all Fox *News* is, is entertainment. Unless they’re literally reporting on a heat wave or something. But if it’s political and on Hannity’s show, it’s sheer fantasy.
Hell Ursula, if fux reported a heat wave was occurring, I’d look outside to see if it was snowing.
FWIW…….Fox 59 out of Indy is referencing The Hill report that after investigating the poster the poster admits to being a troll….debunked before it ever got going.

Ah, yes. The old “told by my cousin” routine.
Because in the real world, people are just so close to their cousins that they “spill” information to them instead of anyone closer in our lives. Right up there with “A friend of my friend” in terms of credibility (except among the gullible).
Hmmmm. 45-34 = 11. Now let’s all wait and see if some paranoid alternative insane logic surfaces, so as to justify this simple bit of math. 🙂
Too late. fux’s hannity already ran with it.
I have it from a good friend, who works with somebody, who’s cousin knows someone who has a family member that dates an illegal immigrant, who worked in Mara Lago, that Trump has boobs bigger than Stormy Daniel, and his son snorts coke off his daddy’s ass! Unbelievable!!!
