One of the joys of doing this job is that you never know what jewel of pure unadulterated batshit you are going to stumble across at any given moment. Today I have found this. Listen and then we’ll discuss the QAnon-embraced conspiracy theory which this references.

Here you have it straight from a RWNJ pastor and self proclaimed prophet that Donald Trump is in fact running the country from a golf course in New Jersey. Silly us, how could we have doubted.

It’s unclear if the general spoken of was a mere witness to this inauguration ceremony or if the ceremony was done by the general, because it’s part of QAnon dogma these days that the military is behind Trump and they’re waiting for just the moment to take over Washington and put him in the Oval Office, while they black out broadcast media and the internet and start hauling folks off to Guantanamo. So maybe the general spoken of has the same power as the chief justice of the supreme court, who knows.

These memes are very common in right-wing social media and of course Michael Flynn is touring the country alluding to an uprising of the citizenry all the time.

As to March 4 and Trump’s inauguration as the 19th president of the United States, that will make sense once you accept the fact you’re not living in a democratic republic but in a corporation.

There is a conspiracy theory that has long claimed that in 1871 the District of Columbia became a private business venture owned by bankers, notably the City of London. It implies that the District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871 turned the U.S. federal government into an incorporated private business venture.

More recently, this was adopted by QAnon conspiracy theorists who claim that Trump will be inaugurated on March 4, because America became a corporation in 1871, marking all inaugurations since then invalid.

An article on a site which has espoused a number of conspiracy theories,”freedom-school.com,” claims that the Rothschild family struck a deal with the US government to pass The District of Columbia Act in order to serve its corporate interests.

The theory is tied to disregard the 14th Amendment, which was passed in 1871 and guaranteed rights for all citizens, including former slaves.

Conspiracy theorists have frequently cited 28 U.S. Code § 3002, that includes the phrase “United States means Federal Corporation.” This does not take in to account the context of the original, legal meaning behind this term, which does not to translate to our modern understanding of corporation meaning “business.”

There are several different definitions of “corporations” under legal texts, which can occasionally mean any kind of organisation or group, and will not necessarily refer to businesses.

A related claim stating that there have only been 18 real US presidents while the rest have been CEOs and that Donald Trump will actually be the 19th president is baseless since there is no such act passed in 1871 to make the USA a corporation.

The “fact” that Trump is already president is helpful for a number of reasons:

1. Why should Mike Lindell go forward with his cyber symposium tomorrow if Trump is in fact the president now? I mean, wouldn’t it be redundant for the Supreme Court to “pull down” the election when the entire point is moot, since Trump’s been running the show since March 4?

2. If Trump is in his second term now, then he can’t run again in 2024, right?

3. The Republicans can’t lay any burdens about inflation or high gas prices or migrants swamping the border at Joe Biden’s feet, because Trumpty is still running the show. Yes, Ron DeSantis, we’re talking to you. STFU

Think about this some more. Maybe this is what Mark Meadows was talking about when he mentioned “cabinet meetings” at Bedminster. Maybe the demon spooj doctor is now the surgeon general, ya spose? And maybe the CDC is being run by the doctor who believes that vaccine magnetizes people? Maybe Trump will appoint Mike Flynn secretary of defense any day now, and Roger Stone U.N. Ambassador. Ah, we could go on with this all day. The Administration From Hell, the Sequel.

    • The RWNJs make it up out of whole cloth. And that’s what the QAnoners do. It all comes out of right-wing radio. I remember hearing some strange CT about the imminent collapse of the dollar about 15 years ago. It was on the radio at night on some L.A. station. Nothing was in the newspapers about this story but to hear this woman tell it, it was financial Armeggedon time. I guess a lot of people don’t even go looking elsewhere for explanation, they just listen to these guys.

      • Yes, I have come across this elsewhere. The demented have one maybe two sources of news. I got this from a guy in Australia who proceeded to tell me all about America. He said his source of news wrote it in a email column. After discussion of the sight he said it was the only thing they were getting. I gave him some other real news people and later after he checked out the more reliable news sources he actually thanked me for giving him the information.

  1. Neat trick, since Biden was sworn in at the real, only, official Inauguration on 1/20. It’s been on 1/20 since 1933 (20th Amendment).

  2. Many cities are incorporated. It doesn’t make them businesses in the usual sense of the word. It’s just a legal form of organization. (The DC law was about making all the towns and hamlets in DC – and there were a lot – into one city for legal purposes.)

  3. Trying to figure out anything related to these folks is like trying to answer the Mad Hatter’s question to Alice, how is a writing desk like a raven. Good luck with that.

  4. The Rothschilds? Are you f*cking kidding me? Now I KNOW the neo-nazis are involved-that is their textbook dogma FFS.

I just want to know when that little sh*t flynn is going to be picked up and tried for treason/sedition-f*ck I don’t care at this moment. I DO care that the little f*ck uses the title of “general” and gets a military pension. Nope. That ain’t gonna fly. Not in my books. You do not get to preach and participate in the attempt to overthrow our government and still get to keep military honors and pensions.

  5. “The theory is tied to disregard the 14th Amendment, which was passed in 1871 and guaranteed rights for all citizens, including former slaves.”

Um, the 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868. There was a bizarre circumstance surrounding the amendment’s ratification. Ohio and New Jersey rescinded ratification before the amendment’s being added to the Constitution but Alabama and Georgia ratified shortly after the Amendment was officially added so it just would’ve pushed the official date back by a couple of weeks (and Secretary of State William Seward did issue a formal proclamation that certified the Amendment’s being added the day after receiving notice of Georgia’s ratification). There weren’t any amendments added in 1871 (the 15th was added in 1870 and the 16th wouldn’t be added until 1913).

  6. One other curious point about this whole thing: Aren’t these idiots the same folks who applauded the Supreme Court’s decisions (mainly the “Citizens United” case and the “Hobby Lobby” case against the Affordable Care Act) that basically turned corporations into “persons” under the law?

    • Corporations have always been legal persons for some purposes. Which leads one to wonder why, then, they should not be subject to the same limits on donations to campaigns as individuals are. Hmmmm.
