A non-responsive answer is one which doesn’t answer the question asked, but talks about something else. That was what went on between Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly today during their interview. Of course, Kelly asked, “Where’s Melania?” So has everybody else. And Trump did not say, “Oh, she’s busy redecorating Trump Tower or taking Barron waterskiing, bla bla,” which would have been a normal answer. He didn’t go there. Instead he talked about how “confident” Melania is. Whut? Newsweek:
Describing Melania, the former president said, “I think part of the beauty is that mystery.”
“She doesn’t need to be out there [to get interviewed]. She has confidence. She has a lot of self-confidence,” he responded when Kelly asked what it was people misunderstood about his wife.
Despite being a prominent fixture in her husband’s 2016 presidential campaign and throughout his presidency, Melania has kept a low public profile, giving few interviews and being portrayed in the media as an enigma that contrasted the image of other first ladies before her. While discussing Melania’s mysterious nature, the former president recalled a conversation he had with the late journalist Barbara Walters about actress Greta Garbo and alluded to parallels between the Hollywood icon and his wife.
“I said [to Walters], ‘You’ve interviewed everybody, who was the one that you would like to interview more than anybody else? She said, ‘That’s easy, Greta Garbo.’…she was a great actress…But she was very reclusive, never did an interview. I don’t see Melania as like that, but she’s introspective, and she’s confident,” he said.
And then being Donald Trump he had to tell a whopping lie.
The former president also expressed his upset that Vogue profiled White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre last week but never put his wife, a former model, on the cover after he entered politics.
“[Melania] was on the cover of Vogue before she met me and during. But once I said, ‘I’m running for president,’ that was that was the end of the coverage…It’s so sad, but she doesn’t care,” he said.
False. Melania was on the cover of Vogue once, when she married Trump in 2005, in a Christian Dior gown with 300 yards of material and 1,500 crystal rhinestones and pearls. She was never on the cover “before” she met Trump, or during their relationship or marriage, until the actual wedding dress photo was taken and a story written to go with it. But that’s okay. Trump needs to believe Melania was up there with Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell and those gals who were all over Vogue and Melania likes to believe it, too. Leave them to their dreams. Let’s just get them out of our collective nightmare.

Anchor baby. Plus, she is counting on him dying soon. Under FL law, the widow us guaranteed 1/3 of his,estate ( A prenup.might change that). The rest is divided among the kids,,so 13% goes to Barron.
no need for an anchor baby and Barron does not have that function. she gained permanent residency through her marriage to a US citizen and presumably applied for US citizenship after requisite number of years

I have a dear friend in Manhattan and he says that the word in New York is that Melania had no idea she was signing up for this when they got married. That makes sense. Yes, he talked about running for president but he talked about a lot of things that went belly up. I imagine she’s had it.

Where’s the slav? Would you be seen with Mr. Mango any more than absolutely necessary? I don’t think she’s particularly intelligent but I figure she’s got the sense to be seen with the slug as little as possible. She certainly didn’t seem too upset, hell, upset at all, over any revelations of his extra marital affairs. Again, why sleep with a slug if you don’t have to.
