To commemorate Vladimir Putin’s illegal and ultimately ineffectual annexation of four Ukrainian Provinces, considerate New Yorkers came together last night to spruce up the Russian Consulate with a spiffy new coat of blood red paint.
Perhaps they were not the most skilled of painters, but what they lacked in consistent application, they more than made up in enthusiasm:

Now that’s a special operation!
That took time to do. Especially given how high up the walls they managed to paint! I can’t help but wonder where Russian staff, particularly Russian security staff were while this was going on. Here’s an amusing thought – the NYPD found ALL its nearby units “dispatched” on “critical” calls, and/or mentioned exactly what was happening at the Consulate and golly gee, the Officers suddenly had car trouble, or just HAD to stop and “intervene” in a “situation” they saw along the way – basically delayed their response. I for one think that would be pretty damned funny!
