So, GOP Congress critter Ralph Norman made some news yesterday.

Appearing on wingnut TV’s Real America’s Voice he intimated to the talking head there that he and the other Congress zeros opposing Kevin McCarthy’s ascension to House Speaker have a super-duper secret candidate who will swoop in after all the swearings-in to deter the California RINO cypher from his quest for the ring…

Though Norman was mum about the identity of this presumably MAGA hero, was it just coincidence that House Judiciary Minority Leader Gym Jordan deleted his tweet about potential candidates on the same day? Was his doing so meant to preserve the secret until the GOP was firmly in control?

Hmmm.

Now, I don’t think Musk has the time for Leading the House Republicans… I mean between going to Mars, building exploding cars and shit-posting on Twitter, how’s a guy going to squeeze in gaveling down on impeachment hearings?

Still, little Elon IS the competitive sort, so he sought to cripple some of the completion by suspending Kayne West (left, above) from Twitter after he appeared on Alex Jone’s crapfest of a television show and proclaimed his love for Hitler. Oh, and tweeted out this hideous symbol that set Twitter on fire rightly calling for his ouster from the site…

Though many speculate it was not so much the anti-Semitism that Musk objected to, but this final Kayne Tweet making fun of him:

If Kayne is out that leaves just the busy, busy Musk left standing and the masked piece of shit pictured (right, above). Who does Ron Filipowski’s audience think will emerge victorious?


It’s a conundrum to be sure.

  1. More empty threats…it’s as good as saying that they’ll not be supporting McCarthy, despite him being their best chance. This performative defiance is going to cost them dearly if they stay on this course.

    • Yeah, but Boehner is more likely to a coalition candidate for moderate rethugs/dems than to be a freedumb caucus candidate. I’m actually a little shocked that his appearance at the House a day or so ago didn’t receive more coverage.

        • I don’t know. He hated the freedumb caucus and the opportunity to knife them might appeal to him. If he’s Speaker of a coalition of rational republicans and moderate democrats, he might go for it. He did, after all, show up at the House for some non-ceremonial purpose. You may be right, we’ll know in Jan.

  3. It’s going to be interesting the GOPers do try to put Trump in as Speaker of the House. They’re probably forgetting that, as a NON-elected individual, he will NOT enjoy the same legal immunities that ELECTED members of the House enjoy. (The Constitution doesn’t go into detail about the Speaker’s role when handled by someone who is not an elected member of the House but I’m not seeing how that bunch of “originalist” and “strict Constitutionalists” on the Supreme Court would be willing to *give* a non-elected Speaker any rights and/or privileges that aren’t clearly defined in the Constitution. Then again, we’re talking about a group whose ideas about “original intent” and “strict reading” really depend on how the wind’s blowing on any given day.)
